What are your thoughts about this game tonight? Will Atlanta keep on struggling on the road or will Toronto continue to hit well?

McGowan is lights out at home and if he can get some run support the Jays should win tonight as he is pitching an 1.73 ERA at home. He is also 4-1 at the Rogers Centre vs 2-4 at home.

Jurrjens is also a wicked pitcher but his ERA is much higher on the road vs pitching at home. His era is 3.98 on the road and is 2-3 vs 5-0 at home.

Leaning on the home team tonight as long as the Jays put up the same lineup as yesterday.

Blue Jays RL for me. Braves struggle vs. right handed pitchers and McGowan when he is on is one of the best especially at home.

If you don't mind sharing can you tell me where you get information about which teams struggle against what handed pitchers?

Thanks in advance.

I go to yahoo and look at their numbers vs. right handed pitchers.

Here is the Braves stats:

Lineups came out early and no Chipper or Escobar for the Braves tonight. Weak lineup for the Braves so I like the Blue Jays even more now.

Mr Closer.

I thought that average just means each batters average. I did not know it is in referance to which handed pitcher.

You can split between right and left handed pitchers for each team. Chipper and Escobar both hit over .300 vs. righties, but they are out and the rest of team hits under .300 vs. righties.

I'm going to take the JAYS at home strong today. Just got some free tickets so I'm going to be heading down to cheer for my home team.

Good luck to all.

Also I'll be dropping 5 units on this game.

Hmm, a great reason to ALWAYS take advice on a forum with a grain of salt.

Braves bat .273 against righties, third in NL! They bat 5 points worse against lefties, so this comment is pretty worthless...

I'm not saying right or wrong but he was asking for opinions and he got one. Guess that was what he wanted to hear. ATLSLIM said under right after that and was ignored. Think the guy just wanted to put some money on his team but wanted to justify it somehow.

Did you bet on the Braves minus Jones and Escobar?

What are their stats on the road vs RHP and LHP? Braves have been better on the road the last two weeks or so but still have a poor record on the road I don't think Mr. Cover was wrong in saying what he was playing. I also don't think CAP-IT was wrong to play it sometimes it just doesn't go like you think it will.

Jurrjens has been good when I bet on him and that is probably the only thing that kept me off of the Jays tonight. If I were confident in my totals I would have been on the under myself.

Take out Chipper and Escobar what is there batting average vs. righties?

I can't figure out the Blue Jays. One night they rock the era leader then get shutout tonight by the worst road team in baseball.

Not gonna be much different with or without Chipper, he's batting almost 400 against both

And Escobar bats .250 something against lefties so probably not much different with both of them outta the lineup

Just not sure where you got that info from when they hit better against righties than lefties (hence why they're on the market for a RH OF bat) and their avg against righties is 3rd in NL...

Chipper and Escobar are the only hitters with a .300 average or better against righties. Without them I'm sure they are middle in the pack. Still offense didn't win them this game it was Jurrjens. I bet the Tigers wished they had him instead of the overrated Renteria now.

Vernon Wells needs to go, until he is gone, the attitude on this team in general is going to suck and so is everything about these guys.

Travis Snyder is maybe a year away from the bigs, he is killing it down in 'AA' right now. CANT FUCKIN WAIT.
