That sure as hell is one name I thought I'd never see in the "overrated" category. The guy is not flashy, never has been. But he is an absolute workhorse and throwback pitcher. Just pitched his league leading 6th complete game of the season and had 7 of them last year as well. 130 innings pitched this year: 106 K's and only 19 BB's, a whip right around 1.00 and 2.93 ERA . All he does is do this year after year and throwing 220 + innings. If he was on Boston or New York he would be called the best pitcher in the league but playing on the Jays hurts him a bit. Once again we'll see him in the allstar game again this year, if this guy is overrated then what does that say about the rest of the pitchers in MLB??

well i see him as a good pitcher on a team going nowhere. Therefore, he isn't all that to me. More his team than him i suppose

Halladay is the best or second best pitcher in baseball. Peavy is the only one I might put ahead of him.

If anything Halladay is underrated. How good your team is has nothing do with how good of a pitcher you are. If he gets traded to the Red Sox does he suddenly become a better pitcher? That's just stupid.

I watched him pitch last night and was on his game seems as if he was toying with the M's line-up.

If any of you guys have seen Rich Harden of late, you'd know who the BEST pitcher in the game is..

I agree about Harden and a big fan of his being he is from near where I grew up in BC , in fact he and Halliday are my favorite two pitchers in the league. Although on the durability scale, these 2 are polar opposites. Halladay just continues to eat up the innings each season while Harden has big time troubles staying healthy, when Harden is on his game such as this season though he is just dynamite. Would love to see him stay healthy for a full season or two and see what kind of numbers he can put up.

I don't think he's the best pitcher in baseball, I just noticed that he had been called overrated in another thread, I think he's anything but that.
