For the record.

When I saw this post I immediately called BODOG uppermanagement regarding this situation.

First I want to assure everyone here at The Rx.com that this check bouncing or not being cashed by xbigpappa's bank is an isolated case and has nothing at all to do with BODOG's finanancial status which remains very solid.

Regarding check processing times, yes BODOG has been asking players to expect anywhere from 7 to 25 business days depending upon mailing method to receive checks. Courier delivered checks like those shipped via Fed-Ex or DHL are faster than US Postal service delivered checks (snail mail).

I invite any Rxer who would like me to inquire into any situation that they are experiencing at BODOG to email me at wilheim@therx.com with a CC to person19481950@yahoo.com.

Please include your BODOG account number, real name and a brief description of the problem including dates.. I will then contact BODOG in your behalf immediately to see what information I can find out for you.

xbigpappa, I do not know your BODOG account number but I am very confident that you will be paid in full ASAP. Usually these situations involve the banks involved for one reason or another.

Thank you, wilheim

How long is too long to wait for a PAYOUT nowadays at an RX book.

Props to books like BETJAMAICA with their free payout via FEDEX that comes within 48 hours of your request. Currently waiting over 2 weeks for a FEDEX payout at an RX book they have no tracking ## etc. when I call (waited until yesterday 14 days to even ASK). I usually take no action until a month elapses. i need that tracking ## so i can pick it up and my wife doesn't spend that check at the mall. plan to redeposit at another RX book, BETJAM seems like the likely candidate.

Oh great...I requested a $1,400 check about 9 days ago. I hope all goes well. Payouts have gotten SLOOOW. Last time I got mine in three days this time they said "please allow 20 days"

With all due respect to Wilheim, I don't think we should be so quick to defend BoDog.

These checks aren't being drawn on isolated accounts. If one check bounces, you can only assume that other checks are being bounced too. After all, BoDog didn't open a brand new bank account JUST to write a single check and pay out xbigpappa.

This, combined with the fact that slow pays are increasingly common at BoDog, makes you believe that there ARE cash flow issues. Its not uncommon, most companies go through that, but to have that from a post-up shop is troubling to say the least. At the very least, you would have some "creative accounting" going on where they are delaying certain payouts until other checks clear.

All shops that were at one time "solid" and then went bad had to start going downhill some time, right? I'm not saying this is the case with BoDog, but I wouldn't be quick to defend them either.

First of all no one here knows anything about xbigpappa's actual situation. Today was his 1st post (out of a total of 4) since Aug. of 2006 from a proxied IP that has 3 ghosts attached to it. I have no idea who he is so I cannot check on what happened to cause his check to bounce. I do know that BODOG will replace it as soon as they have proof that it is not cashed. Most likely they will give him small gift of extra cash in his account to help make up for the inconcienence.

I took immediate action when this thread appeared and spoke to someone in upper management at BODOG about the problem of a bounced check in general and he explained that it happens on rare occasions and over 90% of the time it is not about the balance in the bank but a check that was written poorly by a foreign bank or a US bank being overly cautious with checks from certain countries. That same bank may have sent out hundreds of checks that cleared fine on the same day as the check in question. Right now there is no way for anyone here to actually know the reason the check did not clear.

No one deleted or edited the thread in anyway.

BODOG has thousands of players and send out thousands of checks every week, this is one isolated non verified incident. Drawing such a conclusion is pure speculation. I have zero complaints about bounced checks at BODOG in my mailbox now or have I had any for as long as I can remember.

However of course you are free to believe what you want.

Max Demo, you are way off base saying that. In the three years I have been head moderator here at The Rx.com NO ONE has told me to defend a book for any reason if I didn't think what I had to say was the legitimate truth. BODOG has been a sponsor here since before I registered in 2002 and is not going anywhere because of what I posted or didn't post in this or any other thread.

You also are naturally free to believe what you want.

Betmonkey, if you want me to check on your withdrawal feel free to email me.

For the record. A check bouncing from Bodog could be one of many things:

1) I think Arnold said they aren't being drawn from separate accounts, I'm not sure but I want to believe that a book that cashes checks would have some sort of internal control that allows withdrawals to be spread among many accounts. (This limits the damage in case someone that cashes a check alters it or makes it fraudulent)

2) In the case of Bodog, I know they have a third party processor. A bounced check means that the processor's account wasn't properly funded with cash. This does reflect very poorly on Bodog as it should. But this says nothing about the cash of Bodog.

That being said, I would not be surprised if there are cash flow issues. Payouts have been taking longer and longer and that is not usually a good sign. My god I have been waiting forever for a payout and I hope this trend is not something that continues.

I think this thread is a good one just to give players a heads up.

I wasn't directing that toward you....I have no problem w/ the info you posted.

As you know I have my own bizz....and a site that I advertise on (www.citysearch.com) allows me to delete a comment that a customer leaves...even if true or false. I was just speaking from experience. and if they didn't allow me to do that I would jump ship.

Bodog has been good to me this year. I won a 15k package to play in the Aussie Millions in January and I have been very successful there with some large payouts-all received in less than a week. That being said, they have bounced checks all over the place for the past 6 months. They always say that they are processor errors and I don't know of any that haven't been replaced within 30 days. They have money, they just don't have as good a processor as some of the other books/poker sites. If they want to, they can send you a check from Canada to you in 3 days. They have done this at least three times for me.

Is it Bookmaker? Do they even advertise here anymore?

There is clearly no need for Bodog. They just aren't necessary. You will get your money, but why wait so long when you can play elsewhere with better lines?

"Betmonkey, if you want me to check on your withdrawal feel free to email me.

wilheim."

Thanks Wilheim but I'm scared that if you start asking questions the process might get even slower out of spite...lol Plus it says on their cashout page it could take that long so I guess I can't really bitch too much but I'll drop you a email anyway and see what happens.

Thanks

I know you just didn't put Bookmaker on this list for fast payouts. They should be bumped down the list. They do eventually pay when they feel like it. Easy going in, hard as hell to take out.

I do agree on your assessment of BetJam however. Excellent book, I just wish they had better deposit methods and more line offerings.

So that's how citysearch works. Interesting.

Yes its the biggest rip off....they charge a flat rate of $1.00 per click. A person can click on your ad as many times as they wish and they just Kept charging away. I have scaled down considerably with them. I use Google Adwords and Overture(Yahoo) for all my ads. Plus I'm at the top of every key word associated w/ my shop's website. (If you want to learn a neat trick that will put you on top of all other ads in your keyword let me know)

Here is a great too if you do advertise on the net. Its a google / Yahoo comparison tool.

..Yeh I agree with you about Bet Jam..I still think they are great and what few lines they are missing The Greek makes up...I did sort off second tier Bookmaker..But I always get a control # on money wires within 48 hours so I still find that acceptable..Do not know how long you guys take to get your checks..I would not call them eactly hard as hell to get your $ though..Thats what a say about Sportsbook dot com because the only thing they got going is their name, which is as original as it gets and catches lots of mice and sheep who are unaware about the pay out history on google searches
