Both pitchers are good, not great. Two good hitting teams and both have bullpen problems in middle relief.

Veratek and Manny are cold, but they are the two that light up Pettite. I think you'll see some slump busting from these two tonight.

these teams are 12-8 over 9 in the past two years, even with good pitching going, there have been many high scoring games.

I watched Andy's last start on TV, and Mets bailed him out a couple of times. He did pitch okay, but it felt like a lot of balls were put in play along with 2 dingers and 3 walks (although only 5 hits).

The other 3 starts-- I see that they were CIN, SD, @OAK. Not teams of better caliber like PHI, FLA, or @TB. Andy's start vs KC (at home, no less) the start before those 3--- he was serving batting practice, giving up 10 runs. So his ERA in his last 5 starts.... 3.48 ERA instead of 1.00 ERA in last 4 starts. It works both ways, I guess.

The O/U 9.5 line itself IMO is already adjusted for public perception on the 2 teams and their pitchers. I'm not sure about the total as it easily can be 9 or 10 runs.

Last 3 starts isn't something I personally worry about. They are who they are. I grabbed Red Sox +134 too.

I bought Pettitte on r/l this morning at +155, now +140.
Yanks will win easily or not at all.
