I have bets in for tonight, but after that just wait for football season.

Can't take the bullshit that just happened in the Brewers game.

Think they were up 5-0 in the ninth and lost 6-5?

baseball is a bettors sport. many big bookies will agree that baseball is their least profitable sport.

i feel for you on that loss though. at the end of last season i thought i was cursed watching Brad Hennessey give up 2 9th inning leads in the same week

agree with homedawg, it is indeed a better's sport. so many more strategies that work, systems, chases, whatever, that cannot apply to football because of the difference in the sport and the length of season. I read somewhere recently that one of the big books in Vegas has something like a 50k limit on sides in football, but only a 5k limit for baseball. There's a reason for that: The books know they can get beaten of baseball more consistently than on pigskin.

In fact, the big issue for me is resisting the temptation to bet as much during football season as I do now. I've had a good baseball season to date, and would only give the winnings back during football...I might just close up shop till college hoops tourney time next march, once I wrap up baseball on Aug 31.

same with me. stop betting bases around sept 1st....collect money all football season from bad bettors, and start firing again once college hoops roll around

I felt the same way you guys feel who had the Brewers today when last month the Rockies blew an eight run lead against the Cubs. Obviously I had the Rockies, but these things happen in baseball.
