Good movie, book was quality as well. Denzel could probably star in "It's Pat: The Movie" and make it worth watching.

great film. i don't know about the story though, im pretty sure i read that the white cop who had it in for him was fabricated and also that there was a substantial amount of evidence tying him to the crime, not just he was convicted because he was black

I recommend you get your hands on a copy of the book. It's a lot better than the movie. A lot more detail. Lucky he didn't get the death penalty. Just lost an eye and most of his best years.

Bob Dylan's song "The Hurricane" was great as well. Dylan wrote the song about the situation and was a big supporter of Ruben Carter...

Great song, worth mentioning...

However, he did basically getoff because of a court technicality. Was he innocent or not? Who knows, Patty Valentine swears it was him....

Great Dylan song!! But after he did the song Dylan lost interest in fighting to get Carter out. He wasn' in it for the long term but more just for his own means.

Normally the book comes first. But the opposite happened here.

In my opinion it was a pretty good movie. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 7.Sorry,I'm a tough critic.
