We all know when the season starts he'll be voted in.

Wouldn't it be refreshing if more baseball players had his attitude.

Grew up watching Bert Campaneris and then Rickey Henderson an both were great lead off hitters but wrong attitude.

Now watching Ichiro here on a daily basis is a treat, just wish he'd steal more bases.

As I type this he got thrown out attempting to steal.........go figure

I forget which article I read awhile back but apparently all the teamates and other players are always amazed at how many long home runs he can hit during batting practice. I think he was quoted as saying if Seattle wanted him to hit 30-40 HRs a year instead of small ball he would.

He definitely does not hit for power. You can tell the way he swings he is looking to hit the gaps or dump something down the lines.

I imagine you are right. If he wanted to swing for the fences he could pop out about 30.
