MSN Messenger virus

FYI, there appears to be some kind of virus making a run through MSN messenger today.

If you get an IM with a link to anything at "hostmedias.info", I wouldn't clink on the link-I'm almost certain that it's bad news.

I'll do a little research & have some more info shortly.

i always google anything questionable. cant tell you how many times some"rogue" spyware was trying to get in. this is an expired domain. GOOD LOOKIN OUT

I'm not sure what's up with the "expired domain", but my guess is that they got yanked offline as soon as this virus(?) was reported.

this has been happening for a year now. any time any one sends you something to click you know how to discern whether or not it sounds legit.

if you don't try getting them to talk to you first.

also a lot of times if you keep the most updated version you can avoid this crap. i had it happen to me once and it was on an old non updated version. since i have stayed with the latest update i have been fine.
