I was just wondering what time of day you MLB Fans begin to wager.I noticed the lines most a great deal between 8 am and 11 am and most of the time its in your favor.

Example today AZ - 165 now at -153 in a matter of 2 hours.

With that being said is it better off to wait until mid afternoon to wager ????

Thanks

There is no best time of day to bet on baseball. Obviously, the later on in the day you wait, the more likely the chance you will be able to catch line movement that can help sway one way or another. For instance, if throughout the whole day one side is getting most the action, and right before the first pitch the line jumps the opposite way by $10 then you should know the "sharps" are hitting that game. The thing with baseball lines, as well as any other sport, is that lines are going to move. In order to get the best line possible, you will have to think ahead and try to figure out where the majority of the money will be going in terms of moving the line. There is no right answer to this question, because lines are capable of moving at any time. The best way to have the most information is to wait closer to game time, but that doesnt necessarily mean you will be geting the "best" price for your side. MLB line-ups come up about 30 minutes before game time, and I would imagine that most sharp players will wait to see line-ups before betting their large amounts. If I were you, I would wait as long as possible in order to make sure there are no line movements that would put you on the wrong side. If you like a price and think it will move against you, snatch it up early. There is no answer to your question, it involves feel of how the public/sharps have bets teams in previous days to see where the money will most likely fall in teh end.

SO basically all the sharps are waiting 30 mins before game time to get down ??????

Makes sense to a certain point, however wouldnt the better lines be first thing in the morning upon waiting on action to flow in.

Just kinda curoius on that.

Thanks

If your betting a team the public is usually on (yanks, sox, ect) I'd bet it early because the line will usually only get higher.

There is no time of day thats the best because the line moves will make it better for 1 side and worse for the other so obviously it depends what side you are on.

bet home favorites early & wait on all road underdogs...
You just gotta see which way the money is going and if it's with you, bet immediately... if it's against you then wait.

Exactly. So you might as well continue to piss away your money buying tout picks and going 10-4 but still losing your ass because of the juice. Good idea.

Exactly...I've never met a "sharp" that could do it over time.

It's like a GD cult or something...
