Tampa Bay -105 been mulling this over for a while, realizing that its an absolutly huge series for NY to get back in the race, it may be equally as big from a confidence standpoint for TB to keep this lead, the numbers tell the story here, Kazmir is a total stud that has great numbers vs NY, earlier this season he went 6 innings allowing 0 ER and only 3 hits, while Pettite's career numbers are solid vs tampa these arent the same old rays and if you look at his statlines he surrenders a ton of hits to them and against this squad that will result in runs, if Kazmir gives them 7+ strong they will be tough to beat, Tampa is 15-8 vs lefties while NY is 12-14.
2. Arizona -160 with Webb almost looks too easy to be true, he hasnt been as sharp as late but may not need to be vs this offensive squad, odalis is sure to give up runs. Arizona took 2 of 3 earlier this season including Webb going a complete game shutout in a 4-0 win, way too many pieces missing in washington right now: Boone, DUkes, Estrada, Nick the stick, milledge, Dmitri, zimmerman, how exactly will they score anything against this guy. As for arizonas offense while they have tailed off and are 26-32 vs righties they get lefty perez tonight whom they are 18-13 against, just seems like line should be worse than it is.
3. Boston -167 with Lester- while some numbers would point this to be a huge number to lay in the fact that minnesota has been winning a lot this year and Lesters lone start vs minn was a 5IP 5R performance and the shaky performance of the sox offense of late but the simple fact is that this game is at Fenway where Boston is 32-10 while Minn is 14 games over .500 but 3 under .500 on the road including being 13 games over .500 vs righties vs 2 games under vs lefties. Id feel more secure that Bostons offense comes to life at home than the twinkies.
