I would have to say Cole Hamels. Given the park he plays in, and what his era is. Plus he leads the league in complete games and came one out shy of another one 2 starts ago. Zambrano is very good, but if I could pick one or the other. I'm going Hamels.

Peavy when healthy is the best pitcher in the NL. After him though it's Santana, then Zambrano and then Hudson.

Hamels and Haren are up there too. A lot of good pitchers in the NL.

Most complete games though for Hamels? I'm not looking at the stats, but are you sure Doc isn't leading that category by like 2 or 3 CG's?

Hamels leads the NL. The title of this thread was nastiest NL pitcher. I'll give you Peavy and Sambrano, but Hamels is better then Hudson and Santana.

Hamels is not better than johan or even hudson, we're talking about proven pitchers over years over a kid on the phillies.

That kid is pretty fucking good. I'll take him over Hudson any day.
Zambrano is a head case.

Pujols set Brad Lidge a few years back, but seem to gotten his rhythm.

My vote goes to Lincecum.

Lincecum is in the same boat as Volquez. Not a big enough sample size to start saying they're one of the top.

Once teams get a book on those two they won't be as dominant as they have been.

My vote to goes to Lincecum as well. Have you seen this guy pitch fellas? Bats break with his fast ball!!! And to have that record on the SF team. Hands down LINCECUM...

A large sample size isn't required to say a pitcher has the nastiest stuff in the league.

SF isn't THAT bad of a team. They're third in their division and only a few games behind teams like the Braves and Reds. They're not a good team, but for some reason people talk about them like they're the worst in the majors when really if they got hot right now they could be in contention for the division.

OTK the only reason for them being third in there division is because of Lincecum. Take out half his wins and make them losses, and SF is last in their division.

everyone in this thread mentioned has been dominant, and consistent, and could be capable of this title.....i lean toward peavy...

but my comment is related to your mention of hudson.....watch some games man...he doesnt have it anymore and hasnt in several years...he should even be mentioned in this list....hes a sinkerball pitcher who all of a sudden gives up way to many home runs......which is tuff to do for a sinker baller.....he shouldnt even be mentioned in this thread. U mentioned him in front of hamels, which is laughable.
