they'd move the juice, not the pointspread, it would depend what was bet to determine how much it moves.

I'd guess no more than 1-2 cents on H2 of NBA. ( with each $500). it depends on what else is being bet.

depends on too many things, like what sport you are betting.

even the juice, under regular circumstances, 500 bucks shouldnt make the line move even a cent.

NBA halftime may not move on just your $500 bet.Hit it 10 times, and it will move, unless somebody else is hitting the other side.

Bet a CFL 1st half total or something, and it will move, especially on an early bet.

ok so if i hit an nba haltime for 500 at lets say -110, could i hit it again for another 500 at -110? when do they start to move the juice and do they do that do individual betters or they move the juice as a whole?

it should be as a whole, those lines move like crazy, so you can't tell if your bet moved it.

bet something more exotic, like a prop, and you would see it move on your action.

All depends who bets the five hundred...could be one of the mover's clerks in a betting office...but as Slim said, 500 bucks won't move a line...

I say the same, $500 isn't moving Anything.

And like VD said, depends on Who is making the Bet. :drink:

5Dimes=$5000 not $500,gl 2 u.
:lol:

Not to make fun of you....but 5dimes=$500.00 w/ them and every time you bet on line they will move the line especially bases(juice)...football and basketball you can expect a .5 to 1.0 line movement(when betting 5000)...that is what I have seen w/ them...part of the reason I dont use them also their new website design sucks (been 2 years now).

I think you're completely misconstruing the question. He's asking how much the line will move if he bets $500 at the sportsbook 5dimes.com, he is not talking about betting 5 dimes ($5,000).

Yes you all are correct about it being a sportsbook called 5dimes but i have never heard of a book moving the line for a $500 wager, hell when i took bets years ago i very seldom moved a line more than a point or so & i had over 200customers, gl 2 all.
