so i got into this kick over the last couple of weeks of Googling old MMA fights...

ie: Bisping Grove Video

a lot of the times the major sites are searched by Zuffa and the videos are removed. but you can still find them on some smaller sites.

so the other day i am having a really hard time finding one and i click on some random MMA website and all of the sudden tons of pop ups that were not even loading but they were working on it... i thought shit i bet i am being attacked by something nasty...

i have some sort of spyware/trojan now. it is on my work laptop which is heavily protected by the admin and i am limited on what i can do but i don't really wanna take it into our IT guys and have them work on it.

i have downloaded AD-AWARE and scanned and quarantined but that is not doing anything.

anyway anyone have any suggestions or am i just screwed?

THANKS IN ADVANCE

set the computer back to the day before you did what you did and it will usually be gone, thats what I do 95% of the time

if u can..download a program called hijackthis ...run it and post the notepad document here and we should eb able to disect the issues for u.

Hijack this will solve all ur problems as long as we can see the document from wordpad or notepad that is spits out.

Odds are that you got yourself a trojan(an increasingly common, really shitty type of virus).

Hijack this will show what it is, but you better know what you're doing.

Had the same problem that you had with a work computer and did not want them to see gambling stuff. I paid for an outside tech and they came over and installed windows live care and killed the other programs that she needed. It costs $125 but compared to work finding out it was invaluable. That being said, just download the windows live one care trial version. It is one of the only programs that searches and destroys the trojan you need to. It's free for ninety days. Good luck!

What is the pop up saying? If you have a trojan, google the name of it with remove in front of it and you should be able to come up with some stuff. I have had the same crap show up when watching older videos and was able to get rid of it this way.

Can't you guys just look at unauthorized websites on an I-Phone or something? Go take a dump or something and scan your stuff in the john.

I had it happen and the only way I was able to get rid of it was to reload windows a big pain in the ass, but it worked everytime
