Probably under, good pitching neutralizes. The AL is all NY and Boston.

Did you guys look at the AL lineup?? It might be one of the worst all-star lineups I have ever seen

I could take another 9 guys from the AL that could hit with them....

The NL All Star team is better this year and shouldn't be dogs. It should be even money at worst just because AL is at home. Sheets is a far better pitcher than Lee so the NL has the advantage in SP also. The only real advantage the AL has is they have the best hitter in the game (A-Rod), best pitcher in the game (Halladay), and best closer in the game (Mo). They don't have the depth though, and Doc might not even get into the game. Under is my favorite play though. NL wins 5-3.

Can someone please explain to me why Jason Varitek is an all-star? Only reasonable explanation I can come up with is he told Francona he plans on retiring at end of season, otherwise why would Francona have 3 catchers on the squad with Mauer and Navarro. Looking at both lineups believe this year will be the start of NL dominance in the classic. AL keeps trotting out older and older lineups while the NL has clearly reloaded with talented youth.

Good Luck

The players voted Varitek in.

If the NL had better relievers I would pick them to win, but outside of Lidge you can't count on anybody. AL has Nathan, Papelbon, K-Rod, and Rivera. If they get a lead late it is over.

NL 1st 5 +130... much better starting pitching and better stating lineup. Should be Sheets for 2-3 then Haren/Volquez to follow. Not bad.

If you play the NL full game line, you're crazy. The worst pitcher in the AL pen (Sherrill?) is better than Lidge.

Lidge has a 1.13 ERA.

This is an All-Star game, there not all Mariano Rivera but only good players and good pitchers will be coming in (ok Varitek sucks). It's not like NL had the Brewers bullpen.

Sorry to disrespect the Lidge fans. The point I hoped to make is that Lidge won't get more than 1 inning, guys like Wilson (4.58 ERA) and Wagner (6 blown saves) are more than likely going to pitch for the NL. I'd be suprised if Sherrill goes out there, with Nathan, K-Rod, Rivera, Papelbon, Soria... I'd be even more surprised if the NL scores after they start coming in. A full game bet on the NL is much riskier than a 1st 5 inning bet. Lidge or no Lidge.
