Will prob end up playing....Utley and Morneau.

Winner of 2008 HR Derby will play for which league?

NL: +110
AL: - 125

Does it make sense to put $100 on NL then put $25 on each AL Player to win the HR Derby?


Right now here are the odds for the AL players

Hamilton +300
Sizemore +600 (Probably will leave this out as I think he has no shot)
Longoria +850 (will likely rise)
Morneau +500 (Best shot to win it for the AL I think)

If NL player wins you're up $10.

If Hamilton wins you're down $100.

If Morneau wins you're down $50.

If Sizemore wins you're down $25.

If Longoria wins you're up $37.50.

So I'd say it wasn't a smart bet. Since you like 3 NL players I'd say just bet NL to win at +110. I'm pretty sure the NL is the favorite at 5dimes at something like -140 so that would be good value.

No, don't do that.

If an NL player wins, you win $10.
If Hamilton wins, you lose $100.
If Sizemore wins, you lose $25.
If Longoria wins, you win $37.50.
If Morneau wins, you lose $50.
