Someone talk me out of throwing $100 on this. Good odds, considering they are only 7 back after starting 0-7. Maybe I like this so much just because of the fact that I don't love the Twins or White Sox to run away with it. I think Det will catch fire after the break. Thoughts appreciated.

I don't really like the Chi Sox or Twins either, but I think the Twins win the division. Detroit just has no pitching, so I can't see them catching up. If anything I can see them sliding further back and ending the season below .500. Might be worth a shot though just because the Central is just so bad.

I also really like the Braves Under 81.5 regular season wins. They are 45-50 right now, meaning they'd have to win 37 of their final 67 in order for me to lose. That comes out to going 0.552 the rest of the way. I just don't see that happening. I think they slide significantly in the second half, especially with playing so many divisional games. I think the Mets, Phils and Marlins are all better. Plus, they have to play the Cubs and St. Louis later in the year.

"because the Central is just so bad"...dude save for the AL East, the AL Central probably has more talent than any other division in baseball....
