Saved us from 3 days of hearing about that drug addict Hamilton and how he found Jesus. Though we're still gonna get a decent dose of it.

Morneau may not believe in Gawd but he is a really great guy.
I live in his hometown(New West).

He gives back, big time.

It's a great story, don't knock the guy. I'm willing to bet his story has turned some kids life around in one way or another. Yes they talk about it every time he goes to the plate, but they do that with everything. I'd much rather hear about an incredible ball player overcoming his mistakes and finding religion than a story about Brett Favre thinking about un-retiring.

The story was nice about 2 months ago. Now i'm sick of it.

Agree, thanks to Rick Reilly I never knew Josh Hamilton had a problem and if I really didn't know he was sure to remind me of that fact every 5 minutes.

Hello..............

Morneau may not believe in Gawd but he is a really great guy.
I live in his hometown(New West).

He gives back, big time.

Yea he does like charging 35.00 for an autograph at a card show last year. I mean he only makes millions of dollars a year so he really needed that extra cash for a new Hummer...LOL.

Hamiltons story is a great story and very inspirational for young and old with an addiction......you can't hear stuff like enough, it only serves a good purpose people.

When they dedicated Moody Park Field to his name, he signed autographs for 3-4 hours straight.
Smilin' all the time.

Didn't know about the money for monogram thing.

he's right. you'd think he's the only one in this country that's ever been able to battle back from addiction. i like his story but the media is going to spoonfeed us until we choke on our vomit

I know! In the off season we have another Homerun derby...Barry Bonds vs. Hamilton. Then we'll have TWO comeback stories! Hamilton after smack and Bonds after juice! Oh wait...Bonds was never on the juice...nevermind...

You wouldn't think that at all actually. Hamilton is just one that is in the spotlight so they over play his story so that addicts everywhere can see that it is possible to come back from problems. I don't know hwy this bothers people so much. It's better than NFL Live being on three times a day, or Brett Favre being discussed for hours, and it's a hell of a lot better than any other sports story out there.

If he can help just 5 addicts by playing this story over and over again it's worth it. It's a terrific story that'll never get old in my eyes. It's like the movie the Natural but with drugs instead of a bullet. I could watch that movie 10000 times and it'd never get old.
