What are you going to do for the second half of the season?

Come on, let's here 'em. Teams you're going to avoid. Teams you're going to hammer. Trends we might see. Things you're going to work on.

As for me, bankroll management. I took the all-star game as an opportunity to create a new little system that I'm going to play around with. What's been killing me is a lack of bankroll management.

How about you?

Fade Volquez, Lee and Dice-K against the right teams.

That's a pretty good stat. Here's another one I was looking at..

the winning AT LEAST one game at home during a 3+ game series (not being swept) between the Red Sox, Cubs, Tampa Bay, CWS, Brewers and Twins was 85-1. Something to look at anyhow.

do what i've been doing all season: Use 6 game chases for the best home teams (Cubs, Brews, Zona, Tbay, Boston and Chisox) and against the worst teams on the road (O's, Reds, Seattle, Nats, Pitt, SD and Colo). Why not Atl? Scared sh*tless they'll eventually figure it out on road. 70+ series up to this point (other teams mixed in), and every series a winner. Will end on August 31 to avoid the BS that happens with September callups, teams collapsing during a pennant drive, etc. Hope to get somewhere over 100 series in by then.

In case you'r interested, Pitt and SD begin road chases tomorrow, Zona, Tbay and Chisox begin home chases Friday.

I know you have a thread here. But how does your chase work again? Do you martingale the home team until they win?

Redat, I don't have a thread here, but someone did a year ago. The original idea, which has worked very well over the years, was to take the ten top home teams from the previous year, then bet a chase system with them anytime they had a homestand of 6 or more games. Cleveland was one of those teams a year ago, and believe it or not with the crappy year they've had, they've yet to lose a six game homestand under this system.

Yes, it is a Martingale. Bet to win one unit on the first game. If you lose, bet enough on the second game to make up your loss and a one unit profit. Continue until you win, or lose six straight games.

Small units are recommended, because by the time you get to a game five, which I have only twice this year, you are betting a tidy sum to make up your losses + 1 unit. So far this year, though, I've had only 7 series go to a fourth game, and just two to a fifth. I have not had to go to a sixth game all year.

GL whatever you do!

I followed a similar system for the first two months of the season (through June 4th) and got my nuts kicked in by only losing two series, but as the chase grows exponentially it starts to be a staggering amount. Be careful.

Looking at something my wife has bee following for a few years no. Based on the Martindale system, wth some outstanding results. Any thoughts on a chase system if it works?

I was wondering that myself. I built a little chase and martingale system for myself and I'm going to see how it plays out over the second half of the season. It involves really good road teams playing middle of the pack/bad home teams. Maybe I'll start a thread on it if there's some interest.

bet the under on 2day and tomorrow games

Smart man.

Look for starting pitchers who have reached their career high in IP. Great 5-inning line fades here. I will start next week, since they have their rest this week. A couple that come to mind are Floyd and Wellemeyer.
