BETTING ODDS.

We know that poker players gamble at the sportsbooks.
Whats to keep these people from making under the table deals and making wagers at the books?

It could happen.
Watch for funny line movement come tourney time.
I know they have low limits but with a little bit of creativity you can get a lot of money down on this if you wanted.

the poker prize money and the notariety of winning and endorments you could get would be worth a lot more than a few wagers in sportsbooks with $250-500 limits or so.

Na, the limits are too low to be a factor, the bigger problem could be collusion among two or more players to somehow develop signals somehow indicating hand strengths so they know when not to raise and play each other.

I think the idea is stupid just because guys have obviously been playing great poker for a week and now they have this long layoff, where there might not even be good live tournaments and they might not be playing as well in November.

But as far as collusion, it's something that could be detected very easily with cameras and thousands of people watching. If it was easy, people would do it more often and they would not need 6 months to practice.

How awesome would it be if they all made a final table deal prior to the event and just went all in every hand. A 5 minute final table!

FWIW, I'd rather have more money than a bracelet.
