AL won it for me.... that was painful watching that much baseball.

Plays for tomorrow:

METS -140

  • Santana has pitched against the mets with a 3 ERA and won big....
  • Cueto got spanked with a 6 era by the mets.. lost as well.
San Diego/Cards UNDER FIRST 5
  • Peavy last 2 games have been incredible with no earned runs.
  • Santana as well has been lights out his last 3 performances
  • San diego and cards have been struggling with the bats.

You don't think the line is a little short for the Mets? Afterall, they are the hottest team in baseball going into the break with the best second half pitcher over the last 5 years toeing te rubber against a very bad team who is starting a below average starter.

I'm saying, I love the Mets tomorrow, especially at that price. But I can't help feeling like I am being duped.

FWIW add Peavy's excellence in his last 2 games combined with SD's offensive ineptness you mentioned and a nice RL play pops up when you include Lohse to the mix:

Play Against - Road teams against a 1.5 run line (SAN DIEGO) - bad offensive team (<=4.1 runs/game) against a good starting pitcher (ERA<=3.70) (NL), starting a pitcher who gave up <=1 earned runs in his last 2 outings.
(34-9 since 1997.) (79.1%, +30.5 units. Rating = 5*)

The situation's record this season is: (2-0, +2.2 units).
Over the last 3 seasons the situation's record is: (8-0, +9.1 units).
Over the last 5 seasons the situation's record is: (12-1, +12.9 units).
