My wife suffers from adult scoliosis uses cane[bent over]pain meds, 55 years old, masters degree & now disabled i have had her to 7 different Dr's & no one has been of any help she is at the point of wanting surgery so bad as the pain meds only help so much, DOES ANYONE KNOW OR CAN RECOMMEND ANY OF THE DR'S @CLEVELAND CLINIC,CLEVELAND,OHIO THAT SPECIALIZES IN ADULT SCOLIOSIS as we are going there in about 3-4 weeks, we are going there as they have some of the best dr's around & the hospital is ranked in the top 10 in the country, THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

Cleveland Clinic isnt that hard to get to take I 77 to the East 55 street exit.Make a left on to East 55 to Carnegie Street and make a right turn or youcan take Euclid Avenue.You should see signs to get there but like I said you not in the greatest part of town.If you need more help let me know.Gravy

You really can't go wrong with any of these guys. Read their bios and find someone you and your wife are comfortable with. I met a few of them Friday and will be in a lab with a few more tomorrow. I'll get some informed opinions on who is 'the best of the best'
JaBrady,i sent an email out to oldman ted a mod requesting your email addy, yes i went through the list of Dr's at the spine center & also talked to a nice lady there who mentioned a young Dr.by the name of Dr. Mroz but as you mentioned i would like to get steered to the best of the best & if you can find that info out for us that would be great, by the way i use, insanity1956@yahoo.com
ground hog11, thanks for asking, yes i took my wife to ruby hospital in morgantown,wv. 4 different doctors looked/examined her & could not help her also visited 2 Dr's in pgh.pa +Dr.El khadi w/ Dr.Maroon staff who specializes in adult scoliosis who is supposed to be one of the best around, also visited 2 Dr's in the local area, also been to weirton medical center, weirton,wv. besides having injections inserted into her lower back area by Dr.vigilante who is a pain mgmt.Dr. who one of the Dr's from ruby hospital referred us to, it just seems that all the Dr's do not want to do surgery because of the risk factor of her age of 55 as most scoliosis is done in there early years, this all came about in the last 3 years or so, hard to understand.
