At 53 he could be the oldest Major winner...can he do it? If not who's your pick.

He's not going to win. I like either Choi or Harrington to win, but could easily see someone like Fisher or Kim coming back to win.

If he wins, and I hope he does, it would be the biggest sports story of the past few years...he was over 500-1 to win....

I hope he wins. I remember the 96 Masters like it was yesterday. If there was one thing he could do to take away that memory from hi slegend, then this might be it.....the only thing better would have been to do it at 53 at the Masters or US Open.

This will heal some wounds...I hope he wins easy....if it is real tight the pressure will be unbearable for him and everyone watching.

Viejo - do you hope he wins for the story or b/c you like him?

Kind of both...would be great for golf...have had the pleasure of meeting him and watching him play in person...really felt for him when Faldo came back at him and crushed his spirit....also remember when Mize chipped in on him at the Masters, which was the worst beat I have ever seen in golf....

This is a HUGE story, and one Golf can hang it's hat on for awhile with Tiger not around. I hope he wins, have always been a fan of Norman. I have meet him twice and a gentelman he is..Not like many of the Goofs out there today!

Love it.

This probably has Jordan in Charlotte shooting jumpers right now.

This is just an unbelievable story. If this was some random 53 year old journeyman tour player, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. But Norman lost a bunch of majors with last day chokes. This would be a nice way to put some of those to rest and cap a great career.

i hope to god he wins tomorrow....being the oldest ever to win a major would sorta erase the masters he lost to faldo with the 6 shot lead...he's always been my favorite golfer...i hope he can put 18more holes together....

Should I hedge any? 4-1 on field, don't want PH, KJ, Curtis, or Kim to win

Has anyone else ever come remotely close to winning a major at 53? This is by far the biggest sports story of the year if he wins..On top of being 53, Norman wasn't even on the radar before this tournament. Really unusual considering the world class golfers in this tournament..But like they say, there's horses for courses. And the one major tournament that Norman has been able to win before is the British Open. To me, he looks like the one golfer out there who isn't struggling to make par quite as much as the rest of the field...Also with the way he's putting I think he's got a real shot....As an old geezer myself, I would love to see it happen. I just hope the old Norman nerves don't sneak up and bite him in the ass like it's done in the past....Go Shark!

He finished well, coming real close to getting a birdie on the last whole. He was very calm on the course and took everything in stride. I don't think he feels any pressure at all. He is playing with the house money. No one expects him to win. Harrington is the defending champ. Who do you think has the pressure on him.
