Saw the midnight showing last night. It's a must see guys. I gotta tell ya, I'm not big on comicbook movie renditions but this movie is absolutely amazing! Heath Ledger handsdown stole the show. A definite Oscar nomination for supporting actor although, I wouldn't be surprised if he won "Best Actor". Mother of God, I couldn't help but think this was the same guy who did Brokeback Mountain. Talk about going out with a bang with his role as The Joker. His performance will definitely go down as memorable and timeless.

That being said, and trying to keep this away from a Heath Ledger remembrence, I've got to say this movie is a must see!

Anyone else see it yet?

Movie was awesome, to say the least! A +++ The visuals are just something else. Has a lot of great plot twists. Excellent story, kind of grim as the title implys.

Ledger performance was amazing! I mean, he really just became the Joker. He was him.

I know how these ocscars work and he will probably get jobbed,
but you would be hard pressed to see a better performance this year.

I thought that the movie could have been cut down a little bit and they tried doin a little too much at the end. But Ledger was fuckin great- 2 favorite parts were when he makes the pencil "disappear," and when he strolls out of the hospital. So many funny lines, in a sick way.

I did spend a good part of the movie wondering how they bribed the raters into giving it a PG-13 rather than an R.

i didnt think it was deserving of 'R'

wouldve done it for the $ though. saw the midnight show, seemed like we were surrounded by a shitload of 10th graders, rows upon rows. small sample size though

I got a question about Batman. I have never got into those movies and the main reason is I can't figure out what the fuck is going on. I mean there are so many of them. Is there an order to them like star wars? What would be the order I would watch these in if I were to watch them. All I know is it seems like there is a Joker in everyone of them. The joker is old sometimes and young sometimes. Seriously can someone explain exactly what in the hell is going on with these sequentially? Thanks.

Okay, the first series of batman movies, which were 4 in total, go in this order: BATMAN - BATMAN RETURNS - BATMAN FOREVER - BATMAN AND ROBIN.... The 1st two are very good (directed by Tim Burton both).... the last two dont even waste your time, they sucked big time. Now the one that is currently being played, is the 2nd delivery of the same director, is the sequel of BATMAN BEGINS, and they have to be looked at like separate pieces of art (meaning the 1st 4 movies and these 2)... Watch the ones i recommended u, wont be disappointed

Okay thanks, so I could just potentially start fresh and catch batman begins and this one and be caught up on the new school batman? How many batmans are there going to be in the new school grouping of shows?

just got home... wow, did this blow.

just kidding. seriously if there has ever been a movie that surpassed the hype it is this one.

amazing director who took an awesome premise and made it reality... two of the greatest actors out there who took their roles and played them better than anyone else could...

unbelievable supporting cast... Eckhart who wears on me was perfect and Oldman was great as well. freeman and caine did not get a ton of screen time but they did get more than in "begins" thanks mostly to the overall length of "dark knight" and it was well deserved.

only weak part of the movie was gyllenhaal who i think 100 other actresses could have played the role equally as poorly but who can let that distract them from the pacing, the scenery, the acting, the plot, the humor... oh my.

excellent flick... one of my favorite action films of all time.

"begins" is the way to start for sure. no back story needed.

bale and nolan (director) signed a 3 picture deal if i am not mistaken, so i would expect one more.

Nice review, Roger Ebert.

As long as there's no Arnold Schwarzenegger or Jim Carrey in this one, I'll probably check it out this weekend.
