I know it's a LOT of juice...but why not LAA??

At -195...it's not pretty. Not at all.

However, this team is on fire. They just swept the Sox. Santana has won 5 of his 6 previous decisions. Byrd has lost his last 5 decisions, only made it past the 6th once in those past 5 (6.94 ERA on the road).

So far, the only reason I'm hesitant is that Santana burned me once before. Can somebody give me a reason NOT to bet on the Halos? I know it's a shit ton of juice...but it seems as close to the L word as it can get. But other than the Halos being overwhelming favorites, what else do you got.

Your thoughts?

Cleveland is actually hitting the ball now and has won 6 out of 7. They roughed up the Rays staff in a sweep and pounded on Seattle pretty good with the exception on a loss v. King Felix. The only real knock on the Angels is they seem to struggle to score runs, granted, it might not matter with Byrd on the mound. The Angels also have a tendency to play lots of 1 run games so the RL is a dicey spot. GL with your play regardless.

iv been playing the Halos all year, and i think they are the one team i have never bet Against in all of mlb. with that said, i wont be taking them much rest of the season, theyre just ballooning the division lead and every game isn't going to be as important to them anymore. also, theyve won like 38 out of 55 games that have been decided by2runs or less. that stat means theyre opponents are often losing, but only a key hit or two from changing the whole ballgame. and if you know there is a high chance the game will be decided by 1-2 runs, i don't think you'd be comfortable laying -200.

I know...Byrd just seems to be about the most garbage starter they could throw up against the Halos. Then again...he's pitching on a lot of rest...but then so is Santana.

Very competent analysis, Mr. Cleo. I actually think at +190, the Tribe are worth a flyer.

Gentlemen, might I suggest you all take a look at LAA over 4.5 runs? Byrd's last 2 outtings vs LAA he gave up 6 and 5 ER. Byrd has given up an avg of 4.5 runs in his last 6 outtings and in those 6 outtings, the opposing team only failed to score over 4 runs just once.

Angels 0-6 vs Clev when santana starts.:think2:

Well, to be fair, he's only seen Cleveland once this season and it was April 8th and the Angels lost 4-3 in a no decision from him. He's a much different pitcher this year than in the past couple of years. I think this sort of stat is irrelevant considering that. Same thing goes with Randy Johnson tonight. He's something like 12-0 against the Cubs lifetime but hasn't seen them since 2004.

There is no let down tonight after the Boston sweep. Byrd gets lit up and Santana exercises his Cleveland demons and throws a shutout. The Halos are hot!:pope:

Indians are 0-3 when Byrd has pitched against the Angels in Anaheim the last 2 years
Byrd has given up 11 runs in 7 innings + in his last 2 starts against the Angels
Bryd is 1-8 on the road this year with a 6.94 ERA

I think the Angels win tonight but not laying -207 on them tonight but did take the over 8.5 runs tonight.
