A key series in the National League Central begins on Monday when the 2nd place St. Louis Cardinals host the 3rd place Milwaukee Brewers. Both teams are unbeaten since the All-Star break and are within two and three games, respectively of the 1st place Chicago Cubs. The Cardinals got a dramatic 9-5 win on Sunday over San Diego as Aaron Miles hit a walk off grand slam. The Brewers are playing just as well, having swept San Francisco over the weekend, scoring 24 runs in the process. SBG Globalreports that early MLB betting has the public taking Cardinals at Home.<o:p></o:p>

The Brewers have won five of their last six games on the road. "We're playing a lot better on the road," manager Ned Yost said. "I think we're past all that. We're just playing good baseball." The Brewers picked up San Francisco second baseman Ray Durham from the Giants on Sunday and he could be in the lineup on Monday. Milwaukee sends Seth McClung to the mound on Monday. He is 5-5 with a 4.16 ERA this season. It is his first career start against St. Louis. Earlier this season he made two relief appearances against them and allowed only two hits in four innings. The Cardinals send Joel Pineiro on Monday. He is 3-4 with a 4.52 this season. He has just one win in his last 11 starts.
