Pretty hard schedule they have to finish out the month:

3 @ Arizona
3 vs Florida
4 @ Milwaukee

I feel they will go about 6-5 in this stretch. If they do so, I will probably win money.

Starting tonight:

Snakes +129 playing Cubs action here. The key is Randy Johnson is 12-0 lifetime vs the Cubs, and at a dog price. Cubs have been horrible in Arizona in thepast.

Also playing the under 4 -120 for first 5 and the under 7.5-120 for teh game.

He faced them earlier in the year.

Take that back. He was supposed to, I think they had a long rain delay.

There are many sports bettors who would go against this theory and argue handicapping on a game to game basis.

One of the hardest things to predict is a team about to go on a streak whether its winning/losing. If you are wrong the outcome could become very expensive. On the other hand, the local perspective has an advantage of sensing this type of streak. I truly believe that and Fair Warning obviously sensed his team was about to start a bad run. Impressive.

This thread has the potential of being the best in the Rx baseball forum ever. I wish you luck Fair Warning.:103631605

I am a huge Cubs fan, and hate the White Sox, but do listen to the local sports stations in Chicago and read both Chicago dailys. I wanted to do this starting with the Houston series. The way the schedule breaks for Chicago, this stretch is a bear for them. They have always been horrible in Arizona, Florida has played them well, and it is a budding rivarly in Milwaukee. I figure they are 5-6, 6-5 in this stretch thus a moneymaker. I will never lay more than -120 in this stretch (unless CC Sabathia is pitching). I also believe you play them all or quit after losing 3-4 in a row.

I would love to find more of these threads in the baseball forum. I see some potential spots upcoming with the White Sox and Yankees. Baseball is such a streaky sport, and thats how I play it.

i think cubs might go on a win streak here after beating arizona last night and getting soriano back and having their ace on the mound at home

They could, but my money isn't going near -200. They have struggled with Florida. Also no Kerry Wood this weekend. Cubs resting players tonight, so beware.

Tonight's lineups:

<table class="tablehead" border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tbody><tr class="oddrow"><td>1.</td> <td>H. Ramirez, SS</td> <td>A. Soriano, LF</td> </tr> <tr class="evenrow"> <td>2.</td> <td>A. Amezaga, 2B</td> <td>R. Theriot, SS</td> </tr> <tr class="oddrow"> <td>3.</td> <td>J. Cantu, 3B</td> <td>D. Lee, 1B</td> </tr> <tr class="evenrow"> <td>4.</td> <td>M. Jacobs, 1B</td> <td>A. Ramirez, 3B</td> </tr> <tr class="oddrow"> <td>5.</td> <td>C. Ross, CF</td> <td>R. Johnson, CF</td> </tr> <tr class="evenrow"> <td>6.</td> <td>L. Gonzalez, RF</td> <td>M. DeRosa, RF</td> </tr> <tr class="oddrow"> <td>7.</td> <td>J. Willingham, LF</td> <td>H. Blanco, C</td> </tr> <tr class="evenrow"> <td>8.</td> <td>J. Baker, C</td> <td>R. Cedeno, 2B</td> </tr> <tr class="oddrow"> <td>9.</td> <td>S. Olsen, P</td> <td>C. Zambrano, P</td></tr></tbody></table>

Was going to sit this out today because the Cubs are so strong at home. Since Lou really burned Marmol last night, the Cubs bullpen is very short today. Therefore:

Florida +167 action
Florida/Cubs over 9-127
