Wash/SF Over 8.5
-The Nats are "hot", winning two in a row and scoring 23 runs the past two games. They have Zimmerman back from the DL; he should be able to provide a couple of hits. Zito is pitching at home and although I don't think he'll be the pitcher he was in May/June at home, he won't be Cy Young tonight. He'll give up runs. Even though the Giants got swept over the weekend by the Brew crew, they still managed to score 9 runs between the past two games. Against a significantly worse team they should be able to put up at least 4. Also, what if Zito is Zito '08 at home...we'll have the over before the 5th.

Red Sox/Seattle Under 9
Dice K has been pretty nasty of late...4 starts, 23 IP, 1 ER (2.15 ERA on the road in 08). In Dickey's last 4 starts, he's had 26.1 IP and 4 ER. He looks like he's coming into his own after a stint as a relief pitcher. Dice K hasn't thrown since the 13th and Dickey threw 41 on the 19th but prior to that hadn't thrown since the 10th. Also, both pitchers have the ability to throw into the 110-120. So combined with a lot of rest and their ability to throw a lot of pitches. Don't be fooled by Dickey's ERA of 5.05 as a starter, he threw a 6 inning, 5 ER game on April 18th. I see this game going as a 3-1 type of score. The only thing I see derailing this prediction is if the Red Sox go off. But they're away and I think will be happy to take away a win in Seattle. Expect a classic AL pitchers duel here with both pitchers going deep in the game.

LA Angles ML
Last night killed me but I don't think this team loses two in a row at home to the Indians. The Monday game after an emotional sweep is always a hard game and very susceptible to letdowns. Weaver has pitched well in his last 4 starts...24.2 IP, 4 ER. Ginter looks to be in a tough position as this will likely be his last start in the majors for a little while. He could pitch a gem to try to stake his claim to hang around, but I think it's more likely he'll be gone after 5 innings giving up 3-5 runs. Don't be fooled by last night, the Angels are still hot. Look for Weaver to carry them into the 7th, giving up maybe a couple but I think the Angels get more than a couple against Ginter. Shields finishes up the 7th and brings them to the 9th. FRod...game over. Take the ML for a strong play and a smaller RL play if you got beat last night by the Angels (I really think Angels +2.5 is a fairly strong RL play here...that's a lot given that the Angels are a ML team).

As always, best of luck today and in the future.
