Felix Hernandez at home against Clay Buchholz. Think the Mariners might salvage this one and it appears most everyone is on Boston to complete the sweep. Public backing a pitcher in Buchholz who is 0-4 on the road this year with an era of 8.49. Felix 3-1 with a 3.06 career ERA vs. Boston. Felix in good form as the Mariners are 6-1 in Hernandez's last 7 starts. Boston in the last game of the road trip with an off day tomorrow and the Yankees coming to Fenway on Friday. I know it's hard to back Seattle but this one sure seems right.

Thoughts please.

I like it also. Huge pitching mismatch in this one.

I really think Seattle takes this one unless Clay can match King Felix and I don't think that will happen. Boston's road record is terrible but they seem to take the games they need to win, especially after a sweep at the hands of the LAA. In my mind this ones a pickem that I'll leave off my card...

think bosox take it late...last 2 games against the bullpen boston had HUGE oppurtunity to blow both of those games wide open

I think this is the best play as far as this game is concerned. If the sox are going to win, it will be late- Felix has pitched very effectively, and Clay hasn't pitched a strong 6 innings in a long time now.

sox possible resting a few bats in anticipation of the flight home and yankes series.
i'm sure they are glad to have taken 2 out of 3 here.
mariners are definately the play here...

SEA first 5 maybe a great pick here. Sox have shown they can play catchup in the late innings

Red Sox have a shit bullpen too and Papelbon might not be available. Putz is back and with Morrow they form a nice 1-2 punch late in the game.

Get out of here.. there's an off day tomorrow.

With how hard wins are to come by right now, the Red Sox aren't going to throw out a Triple-A line up today.

Use your fucking heads.

I agree with this. I doubt they rest anyone.

I like Seattle first 5, certainly dont believe they will rest anyone but id make it a bigger play if manny was out. Will check the lineups before it starts.

With the afternoon start, they'll be home and in their beds (if they so chose) by midnight.

There is absolutely zero reason why anybody should be given an off day today.

You're wrong in every way somebody could be wrong.
