Miguel Batista is currently the worst starting pitcher in MLB.
He is 4-11 and 6.89 ERA overall. In his last 3 starts he is 0-2 with a 17.55 ERA in 6.2 innings pitched. Batters hit .500 with a 2.85 WHIP.

Does it get any worse than that? No doubt he is heading back to the bullpen.
I am taking the Jays again laying the chalk.

I agree it should be higher.
Jays are not world beaters and they struggle sometimes with bad teams like Seattle going 5-13 in their last 18 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400.

But the Jays bats are coming alive lately especially with RISP. Add to that Mariners are 7-20 in the last 27 meetings in Toronto.

Seattle just got swept by the Red Sox. It was a letdown for them in front of the home town fans (it might have been the highlight of the season for them) and then travel 5 hours yesterday. Mariners on a downer with Batista starting is a no brainer.

I agree Batista is terrible, but one of the only teams in the league that can make him look good are the Jays. They've been hitting the ball well lately, thanks in large part to Adam Lind becoming the stud he was supposed to be, but I'm not sure if I trust laying almost 60 cents with Parrish on the mound. He's been pretty good, but not worthy of that line IMO.

With all that said the Jays should win tonight, but my money won't be on them. Good luck bookie.

I may be in the minority, but the fading the public in baseball is very overrated. The Jays only have to win, not cover. Big difference.

yeah i agree with OTK. Parrish most likely wont be the reason the Jays win tonight. He will go 5 innings and maybe leave with a tie and the bullpen will close it out. Jays worry me because Seattle is a team that strikes out alot and looks awful or clubs balls deep ( kind of like the Orioles ).

This is the type of game the Jays are prone to lose. When they finally have a chance to get above .500.
