If you have someone's record and how many units they have won, how do you calculate the average line?

No, you're an idiot. I'll figure it out, I was just wondering if anyone knew so I could save myself some time.

a record doesnt indicate what lines they bet into at all

you would need the entire spreadsheet of their bets

no other way around it

unless you are assuming every bet was a ML sport (hockey, bases, etc)

if wins-losses > units, 100*(units-wins)/losses

if wins-losses < units, 100*(units+losses)/wins

Here's what I came up with:

Average line=((units won+(games played*(1-win percentage)))/(games played*win percentage))+1

Average line is in eu (decimal) format

To demonstrate. If my record is:
7-9 +3.5 units

then the equation would be

((3.5+(16*(1-0.4375)))/(16*0.4375))+1=
2.785714286

Converted to American odds that's: +178.57
