I haven't heard any rumors about Halladay, give me a link then. Holliday rumors were that just a bullshit rumor. Phillies will never make a big move.

Rumor has it Roy Halladay is not happy currently in Toronto, and Howard Eskin from 610 WIP stated that the Phillies inquired immediately to find that the price was atleast 3 top prospects. After backing off for a little bit, the Phillies offered SS Jason Donald, C Lou Marson, P JA Happ, and PTBNL.

the offer was very close to what they wanted

There wont be a link on this, there hardly ever is when its "I heard on 610 Eskin."

i hate eskins guts but when it comes to his sources , i keep my ears open.

Eskin isn't a creditable source. He has come up with these bullshit rumors before, but if thats what the Blue Jays want then the Phillies better pull the fucking trigger. Rollins at SS for awhile, Jason Jaramillo another C prospect, and Happ is 4th starter at best. I doubt it's true as it would have to include Carrasco instead of Happ.

Eskins sources are pretty good....he broke Elton Brand before Espn had it,and reported that the Sixers had signed Kareem Rush 24 hrs before hand also

not sure how his baseball sources are but its interesting burnett has been pulled off the market.

I just don't see the Blue Jays dealing Halladay. He is signed through 2010 so it's not like he will be a free agent any time soon. Once CC and Harden were gone I knew the Phillies wouldn't make a big move. If they got either one of those guys they would front runners to go to the World Series. Now were stuck with Blanton who looked like shit his first two starts and he is lucky it rained yesterday.

The announcement will be for who they call up to replace Eaton not a trade.

If they get Halladay I'm laying some wood on the Phillies to win the World Series though.

1.) Happ was pulled during his start yesterday.

2.) Eaton optioned to AAA opening a roster spot.

3.) Amaro was on Comcast DNL today (I just viewed on comcast on-demand). Amaro stated that Happ is not taking Eaton's roster spot.

Also remember, Seanez was also in that meeting with Eaton. They might be needing the make room for two players

Halladay will be in Toronto as long as he wants to be. End of story.

I don't think Halladay is jumping ship, from all reports he likes it in Toronto. You guys are probably getting one of the sorry ass Mariners' pitchers like Washburn or Erik 'I refuse to throw more than 100 pitches' Bedard. Cool with me, I was against the Bedard trade from the jump. Pat Gillick owes us from all the shitty moves he made as the M's GM. This would be classic Gillick though, he nukes a team before he leaves them, he got fleeced in the Blanton deal and he'll get robbed again if he goes after another big name. Though I think it's pretty impossible to get fleeced by Seattle and their idiotic FO.
