While not possessing a blistering fastball, Galarraga is one of those guys who just knows how to pitch and makes the most of what he has; and what he has is a nasty two seam sinking fastball and a filthy slider witch is his outpitch. Galarraga has held right-handed hitters to a videogame like .141 BAA and with the Indians only able to trot out three left-handed bats with two of them being youngsters Choo and Cabrera… I like Armando’s chances tonight to put the Tribes bats on ice. While Cleveland has been pretty good at home this year they are missing their 2, 3 and 4 hitters from opening day and that includes two of them being left-handed (Hafner and Martinez) and not to mention recently traded Casey Blake, although right-handed he was leading the team in batting before he was traded to the Dodgers just a few days ago. If the Tigers are going to make a run, these are the types of road games that they have to win.

Cleveland will counter with journeyman, Matt Ginter. Ginter has bounced around in his career and the 30 year old and former first round pick seems to have found a home on the lake as he has pitched surprisingly well for the Tribe in his first two starts. That is all about to change tonight. By most opinions the tigers have the best lineup in baseball or at least one of the top three, and after coming off a shutout at the hands of Paul Byrd just last night (who is a high contact pitcher much like Ginter) I look for the Tigers to pound the two pitch Ginter tonight early and often. Ginter relies on changing speeds and has a decent change, but the meat of the Tigers order is too good and too patient to be out finessed by sub par pitching two nights in a row. Galarraga is 6-2 on the road with a 2.69 ERA, look for that to jump to 7-2 with another strong start tonight.

Nice winner last night Fletch. :pope: :dancefool :toast:

Tonights play looks just as strong. A nice price for a quality pitcher who has been lights out on the road.

Good luck.

Thanks ES, i appricaite the kind words. Good idea Mr cover considering the bullpen woes of the Tigers (still not sure why they traded Danny Bautista to Pittsburgh last month). That game hairy late on more then one occasion.

We got a winner both ways though the Tigers bullpen gave up a couple late runs. Good luck the rest of the week.
