Frog Extermination.....any suggestions?

Got one of those retention ponds down the street. The last week I've notice these little frogs stuck to my front door, garage door, siding on my house and the walkway up to the house. At first I was cool with it, it was just a few. Now they are everywhere, thick I'm telling you.

Any suggestions on what I can do to keep them away? It's crazy shit too. None of the neighbors houses have them. How the fuck did they choose me and my house?

I can't seem to find anything on-line about getting rid of them nicely. The only things I can find are harsh chemicals and some dumb ass putting them in the microwave.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dude that is awesome, obviously you have some sort of bug problem. Dont kill them man, frogs are good for the eco-system and good pets too. Seriously

I don't want to kill them. I'd just like to encourage them to choose another house on the block. Trust me, it's cool for a day or two but fighting them off to put the key in the whole or stepping all over them walking up to the house is not fun.

I disagree and agree..

First I`d bet you dont have a insect problem..

Second..I agree with Dood..Dont kill them..He is correct about the eco-system..I wish I had more of them around here..Years ago used to be hundreds..Now I have not seen a toad in years.( Which is good, got dogs)..

All I got is a few tree frogs..Dont know what to tell ya man..Dont poison them rascals if you can avoid it..Funny how the neighbors got none and you are the man:missingte

Hopefully someone has a nice way to get them to choose another home. A co-worker suggested spraying everything down with a solution of water and chlorox. I have a feeling that will either kill them or turn them albino.

Get Rid of Frogs or Better

Getting a cat worked for us, but why would you want to? They are only there because they have good food source "ie" bugs and such. I would leave them alone or you might be overrun by things that crawl.

How to Rid Your Garden of Toads and Frogs Frogs and toads are wonderful additions to any garden. They eat an amazing number of insect pests, including slugs and snails. However, if you are tripping over them on garden paths, you may want to discourage them from taking up residence.

Steps: 1. Remove any wood piles, old lumber or pots from ground level. Toads live in dark, damp places during the daytime and hunt in the evening hours. If you remove their favorite haunts, they will move on.

2. Keep pet food inside the house. Toads have been known to help themselves to a free meal from Fido's bowl of kibble. If you feed your pet outside, pick up any uneaten food before you retire for the night.

3. Empty water bowls, ground-level birdbaths or other containers that have standing water. Frogs and toads are attracted to moisture. Any standing water is an open invitation. (This step will also eliminate mosquitoes from your garden, but be advised, toads eat mosquitos, so once they have moved on, you may be plagued with an invasion of pesty insects.)

Tips: Think twice before you decide to rid your garden of amphibians. They do much more good than harm.

Warnings: If you use pesticides in your garden, you will kill frogs and toads. Their skin is a permeable membrane making them very susceptible to toxic chemicals.

Maybe find out exactly what species they are, and get some advice from tree-hugger types as to how to get them to vacate. Perhaps bring a few to said expert.
