Had the pleasure of watching this film on DVD last night and for any Stones fan this is a must see IMHO. Martin Scorsese steps out of his usual realm to direct this film and captures the absolute passion, love and energy the Stones still give to their followers. The film starts with just a slight bit of Scorsese working with the Stones on the set up of a charity concert in New York, but from then on, approximately an hour and a half plus (the entire film is 2 hours), it's all Stones in the concert. The concert is non stop energy, including the Stones playing blues with Buddy Guy and some country, as well as a performance with Christina Aguilera. And of course, the conclusion includes a few of their greatest hits. The way the film is directed places you right up close in the concert and it's difficult to not appreciate what these four artists, who are in their mid 60's plus, give to their audience. It may not be for everyone, but for those of you that like the Stones, consider taking a look.
