No doubt about it, this is my parlay for today:

Justin Verlander -128 over Fausto Carmona

Why the heck not? Yeah Verlander has been shit on the road this season but checkout his last 4 road starts and you will notice that he has allowed only 7 ER's in 26.0 Innings of work and the Tigers are 3-1 in those games. Carmona can't be trusted just yet based on his garbage outing in his return from the DL and this could be another one of those games where he gets absolutely cranked out of the ballpark. If not, he will hold the Tigers at bay but the bullpen will blow it. Cleveland's bullpen has an ERA of 6.31 in their last 10 games.

Trend of the Game: Detroit is 7-1 in Verlander's last eight starts as a favorite.

Dave Bush +130 over Rich Harden

Don't you all just love taking chances on a decent team avoiding an embarassing sweep at home? I don't know what it is but the Cubbies are on a serious roll right now and the Brewers bats are going to have to find a way to get to Harden here. Harden has made a grand total of three starts for his new team, they have yet to get him a win and they have provided him with only 3.3 runs of support per game in those games. PATHETIC. Dave Bush is not the greatest of pitchers but the Brewers are 3-0 in his last three starts, he has a WHIP of 0.76 in those starts and the offense is hooking him up with 6.3 runs of support per game. Bush is the guy you want on the mound to get things back on track for the Brew Crew.

Trend of the Game: Milwaukee is 11-1 in Bush's last 12 starts as a home underdog.

Andy Pettite -163 over John Garland

This wasn't tough at all knowing that the Yankees are going to be jacked up to battle things out with a brand new catcher Pudge Rodridguez. The Bronx Bombers are one of the hottest teams in baseball over the last few weeks and although they faltered a bit against the Orioles, now is the time to show they are playoff worthy. Yankees batters are batting .286 against right handed pitchers at home and right now John Garland is struggling big time with his 8.59 ERA in his last three starts. Pettite on the other hand is throwing some serious steam as of late with a 2.70 ERA in his last three starts. In his last two home starts Pettite has allowed only 2 ER's in an impressive 16 innings of work and I think he is going to show signs of the old Andy. Garland on the other hand has allowed 15 ER's in his last three road starts in only 15.0 innings of work. I'm sorry but this is a great spot for the Yankees to flex some muscle.

Trend of the Game: NY Yankees are 30-5 in Pettite's last 35 starts as a favorite of -151 to -200.

cleveland has not lost 3 in a row at home since april. they had every chance in the book to win last night including bases loaded no outs in extra innings. i know carmona didnt have a great comeback, but he is a good pitcher and the indians have hit well against verlander.
