Jim Feist Bonus Play For Saturday

This is Jim Feist. My free pick of the day is the game between (969) DET Tigers and (970) TB Rays. Take "(970) TB Rays". The oldest player in the AL starts today for the Tigers in the person of Kenny Rogers. Rogers has been a fair pitcher this year with a 8-7 mark and 4.69 era. He hasn't pitched very well at Tropicana field though, where he is 1-4 lifetime with a 5.04 era. Andy Sonnastine starts for the Rays. Sonnastine is 10-6 on the year with a 4.65 era. He's been very consistent going both 5-3 at home and on the road. The Tigers dealt All-Star catcher "pudge" Rodriguez to the Yankees for a pitcher and that will not only hurt the defense, but the offense too which was second in the league in runs scored (5.09 per game). We'll stick with the first place Rays here on Saturday.

HONDO

The Fish were especially foul last night, stinking it up against the Rockies to reduce Hondo's bankroll to 710 burdettes.

Tonight, he'll go coastal and take a wild stab with the AL's worst - 10 units on Hernandez and the Mariners.

Game: Los Angeles Angels at New York Yankees Aug 2 2008 3:55PM

Prediction: Los Angeles Angels

Reason: The Angels won again on Friday night and have won won 9 of their last 10 games. LA is 37-16 in their last 53 games. In their last 23 games vs. AL East opponents the Angels are 18-5. The Angels are 38-18 in their last 56 road games. LA is 9-4 in Weaver's last 13 starts. The Angels have won 5 of his last 7 starts vs. a team with a winning record. The Yankees have lost 5 of their last 6 games. Mussina is on the mound today and he didn't look good in his last start and faces a team he's struggles against. The Yankees have lost 3 of his last 4 starts vs. LA. and they have dropped his alst 4 home starts vs. them. The Angels are 8-3 in the last 11 meetings between the clubs. Play on the red hot Angels +.

MILWAUKEE BREWERS -1½ RL

Milwaukee ended a five-game losing streak last night and they've got the right man on the mound as they look for a second straight win over Atlanta. Sabathia has been nearly untouchable in his two road starts for the Brew Crew, allowing one run and seven hits with 17 strikeouts in 18 innings in winning both games. Charlie Morton who has struggled mightily since being called up from the minors will oppose Sabathia. Morton was tagged for a career-high eight runs and seven hits in 3 2-3 innings of a 12-3 loss to St. Louis. The right-hander is 1-3 with a 9.53 ERA in his last five starts. Atlanta managed five hits in Friday's opener as it was shut out for the second time in 10 games and the 11th time on the season. The Braves, who are without Chipper Jones and Tim Hudson, have lost six of seven. This is definitely the right place and right time to make a nice run line profit on the Brewers.

ST LOUIS CARDINALS -102

The Phillies have really struggled on Saturday's winning just 3 of their last 13 Saturday games. The Cardinals are an impressive 25-11 in their last 36 during game 2 of a series, 19-7 in their last 26 Saturday games, and 10-2 in their last 12 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Looper is coming off of a quality start and the Cardinals are 12-5 in Looper's last 17 starts as a favorite. Take the Red Birds at home.

WASHINGTON NATIONALS

Sean Bergmann has one of the uglier records in baseball this season. But the fact is the Nationals righty hasn't really been all that bad. His peripherals are pretty good, and his sorry W/L record is more bad luck than anything else. I think Bergmann is in good shape to garner a win here as he faces a sorry Reds squad that's showing very little life right now. Add in the fact the Nats seemed really energized last night following the release of a couple of old vets who could not have been happy in Washington and you've got a team that now has a little fire. I'm on the Nationals to make it two straight over the Reds.

Game: Philadelphia Phillies at St Louis Cardinals Aug 2 2008 7:15PM

Prediction: St Louis Cardinals

Reason: Play On: St. Louis w/Looper vs. Blanton
Note: Cardinals and Phillies resume their critical weekend series in St. Louis this evening when Joe Blanton faces Braden Looper at Busch Stadium. Blanton enters the game in rocky form while owning a 5.28 ERA in his road starts this season. On the flip side, Looper is in solid KW form with 2 walks and 10 strikeouts in his last three starts. With the Red Birds 16-4 on Saturdays and the Phils 3-10 on Saturdays, we recommend you stay at home with Looper and the Cardinals here tonight.

Big Board Sports **Premium Plays**
#1 Milwaukee Brewers-We usually do not play the large chalk but we have this checked as a very strong play.
#2 Detroit Tigers- Rogers is a great dog in this spot. The Rays struggle with change of speed pitchers.

#3 Two team Parlay Milwaukee and Detroit

FYI -

I recieved an email from Investment Playmakers we have been following and they said the plays will be offerred at You Win Now effective this weekend. I have not seen them there yet however it did not take a great service long to pick them up if this is the case. Another winner last night coming from them and today it is a total for 20* but it is not available for purchase even at the sports monitor as of yet. I am not going to buy this until I see what the rates are gonna be at YWN and if so hopefully we can rotate the 20* games and be guaranteed instead of having to buy a complete package like I have been doing. I will post today as soon as it becomes available either place.

Since July 2nd they are now up +145 confirmed units on 20* games and I have bought almost all of them so I am

Also keep in mind Erin Ryning missed last night so we need to find him he should hit tonight and Wise Owl Syndicate has a Hall of Fame selection going on today.
These seem to be some pretty solid pick services as of late.

2:55:00 PM 0 RUNS,ANAHEIM ANGELS (Weaver)
-vs- New York Yankees (Mussina)

ASA 7* AL GAME OF THE YEAR - Los Angeles (Weaver) + over New York (Mussina) 2:55 PM

The last game which the Angels faced the Yankees with Mike Mussina on the mound resulted in am 18-9 rout as Mussina left the game in the second inning. Los Angeles took the first game of this series at Yankee Stadium and last season Los Angeles won two thirds of the games overall including winning four games in New York. The Angels made a big upgrade at the trade deadline to extend their MLB best record and Los Angeles has more road wins than the Yankees have wins at home.

Mussina pitched well for most July but was hit hard in his last start allowing six runs in five innings. On the season Mussina has been a much better pitcher away from home as his walk and home run totals increase dramatically at home. The Yankees own a solid home record but recent games have shown some vulnerability with a losing series to Baltimore and a blowout loss in game 1 of this series. The Angels are 9-1-1 in the last eleven road series.

Jered Weaver owns an ERA of 2.43 over his last six starts and the Angels have won four of his last six starts on the road. Opponents are hitting just .206 over his last six starts and the Angels have won in New York each of the last two times that Weaver has pitched against the Yankees. Over the last ten games the Angels are hitting .320 while averaging over seven runs per game and Mark Texeira was just added in the most recent games. Look for the Angels to deliver the road win tonight as the best team in baseball has only gotten stronger.
