Weaver vs. Mussina

Weaver has won his two outings at Yankee Stadium. Seems to be pitching under control. Mussina gave up 6 ER to Baltimore, and last time he faced the Angels he gave up 7ER in 1 2/3 innings (this was in Anaheim though).... :missingte

HEADS UP: Although the preview write-ups don't mention it on some sites, Torii Hunter is not playing today or tomorrow (family funeral). Unfortunately, Gary Matthews, Jr. will probably be hitting in his spot.... hno:

I heard on ESPN that there are some pretty bad thunderstorms out in NY.... Anyone in the NY area? Will they play this game?

Stinks that Hunter is out, doesn't Weaver usually pitch really well in day starts? I remember hearing a stat on ESPN SNB when they lost to the Mets, that with Weaver it's like 'night and day' (puke) with him.

I'm wondering if I should touch this...LAA is the play but they are due for a loss... BUT they are so good right now and with the addition of Tex they must feel unbeatable.

I wouldn't trust Mussina here after being hit up by Balt.

Yanks take this one, likely the only one they win this series. Moose has been great and coming off a bad start i'll take my chances he isnt bad 2 times in a row.

Unders may be the play here. If Mussina throws a game similar to what Santana did yesterday (with Santana coming off a rough start) and Weaver pitching well in the day games (thx Big 10) I think we're looking at a low, low scoring game.
