I think I may have started a similar thread like a year ago but can't find it so I wanted to see if anyone had hit anything awesome lately.

I know one year I had Giambi at like 14-1 to win the HR Derby and he took it. It was a while ago but I think those odds are right.

Anyone hit anything crazy? Any fading of the US team in recent Olympics or a longshot like the Giants winning the Super Bowl last year after their iffy start?

pittsburgh moneyline over west virginia this past college football season. over the years, ive been very close to bringing home some big dogs only to get kicked in the balls. had oakland to win the AL at like 60/1 (midseason, when they were 10 or so out around the all star break) the year they gagged against the yankees. florida at 35/1 to win the ncaa tourney the year they played michigan state (1999? 2000?), although that one was on me because i didnt hedge it ... at all. that was a sick feeling to get nothing from that bet. although msu was a 6.5 or 7 pt chalk in the title game so i was sorta in no mans land. but it was nice to finally bring one home with pittsburgh this year in the backyard brawl. +2800 and i earned every bit of it with all the stress that came about in the final minutes and the refs trying to give wvu every chance possible to steal it.

Same here....had it parlayed with the Ravens ML over the Pats on MNF for a MONSTER payout. It would have been the bet of a lifetime. SO FUCKING close.....

Harrington +4000, after the first round of the British Open(shot 74 and was going to withdraw?). In 1999, had Olazabal(+6000) to win the Masters.

I knew a guy that had the Reds to sweep the A's in the 1990 World Series and made a boat load of money on that bet.

You can verify this across the street at MW: I called Tyson to lose in his last major fight about a month ahead of time. Hit it for something in the range of +350 at Pinny . . . good times :)

David Cook to win Idol after the first week at Carib 61 to 1. 40 to win 2440. Saw he was only 11 to 1 at Matchbook so 61 -1 look good. Scalped thru the weeks & settled for 560

Spain to score 4 or more goals v. Russia in Euro 08 at +1200. I was thoroughly convinced they were going to thrash Russia and they did. I also had Spain 3-0 and Spain 3-1 on the correct score for slightly higher odds.

Also had West Ham +750 to win at Arsenal a few years back, Hammers weren't very good but were playing fairly well and Arsenal was all banged up and not playing well.

This is a little embarrassing but Medaglia d'Oro won a race for me about 5 years ago and paid $143 and I can't remember what race it was! I thought it was one of the big three but I checked on line and he never came first in Kentucky Derby, Belmont, or Preakness. I am not a big horse guy but I must be going senile to not remember what race it was. It was a good hit at a time when I really needed it.

7-1 onMallorca playing at Barcelon back in May. odds were outrageous just because of the team names. Barcelona ended the season spiraling downhill, but it was they're last home game and Rij's last game as coach so wasnt sure.
threw a 50 on it and they came from 2-0 down to win 3-2. watched it on goltv

Priest Holmes to win the NFL rushing title at 75-1 or I think it was 80-1. From what I remember Curtis Martin had the lead the final week and it went down to the wire. I think the Jets sat Martin the 2nd half because they were playoff bound and didn't want him to get injured. BetDSI made me pay out the ass to get my money though. Biggest fee for a payout I ever paid around $500.

80/1 on Florida's NCAA BB 1st championship. Was able to hedge alot on OK ST's Final 4 run a few years ago at 100/1.

I got Boston Celtics this year at 100-1.. Up late one night and seeing on celtics site that that the garnett deal was a done deal and will be announced in the morning.. run to a site and see 100-1 to win championship and 20-1 to win east... Lets say the wife became a die hard celts fan this year!

I had Cavs to win the east at like 10-1 last year which was solid, don't really bet big dogs too much...

Friend had NYG 99-1 in the superbowl though (got it around week 10-12ish)....Tough to beat that.

I hit an exacta with a 30-1 horse on top for $1,400 on a $6 bet...My next biggest win was probably betting OU as 10 point dogs to FSU in the 2000 championship game...That was nice payday.
