Good question. Part of it would depend on skill level. If you're assuming house-way the whole time, I would have to imagine that the number is very, very low. I mean, you push something like 30% of the time, so avoiding BOTH wins & pushes for 11 hands has to be an incredibly low number.

Are you trying a Martingale for Pai Gow or something?:missingte

No was fucking around online a few minutes ago and lost 11 straight hands in a row playing the house way. Cleaned me out of $33 bastards. I figured that i would have a better chance of hitting a 10 team parlay than lose 11 striaght hands in Pai Gow. This is why I play in person

You got me curious about this so I looked it up. From WOO:

Possible Outcomes in Pai Gow Poker

Outcome

Probability

Player wins both
28.61%

Tie
41.48%

Banker wins both
29.91%

That means that you will lose about 29.91% of the time. So, if my probability memory serves, that means that to figure out the odds for 11 hands, its basically 29.9^11 or:
29.9 x 29.9 x 29.9 x 29.9 x 29.9 x 29.9 x 29.9 x 29.9 x 29.9 x 29.9 x 29.9
=
0.00017139%
It's a REALLY low number. It basically means that you could play 583,465 "sets" of 11-hands of Pai Gow and this would most likely only happen once

Dude - are you serious about that? Is there a way for you to get and then post the hand histories? Most casinos do that AFAIK.

Did a little more on this: just to put the odds of losing 11 hands in a row in perspective, its basically the equivalent odds of taking a randomly shuffled deck, taking off the first five cards and finding a royal flush (or the same odds for a pat royal in 5-draw).
So, rare? Yes
Astronomically rare? No.

This book does not provide hand histories of your play. You would've had to be there in order to believe it. Bad part about it is I didn't get crappy hands every time. Pairs up top were getting beat 10,10 and Q,Q if I remember correctly got beat.

Interesting #s there thanks. Do they have info on pulling 5 Aces? I did that once in AC, playing 2 hands and didn't play $5 on the bonus on either after doing it for most of the night. At least I put 2 bucks on the spot

Yeah buddy I know and knew the risk involved hence I played for only $3 a hand. You have a great point too involving true odds and online casinos but was curious with the probability

What the OP did with Pai Gow is much rarer than this. Red is slightly less than 50% so the streaks are more likely to happen

I was at the bash last year and shdw02 went to urinate near a roulette table....i figure I cash in $100 and start playing $10/spin on black/red; odd/even; 1-18/19-36. (stupid, but I was doing a semi-martingale and tripled my bet to $30 if I lost like 2 or 3 in a row)

anyways, he got back I was up to $280 or $290....figure I get to $300 and quit.

I think the board had 3 or 4 blacks, so I went red something like.....
-$10
-$10
-$10
-$30
-$50
-$70
-$100
-$100 (I had to cash in another $100)
-$200 (another $200)
-$0 (forced shdw02 to cash in $100 and play red...he lost)
-$200 (now I'm $600 into this)

ALL of them BLACK or GREEN....I was tilting pretty hard at that point.....was first day about 2 hours after checking in.
