"biggest play of the year"
"KC is a lock"

Two of the quotes I've read here today.

Meche has been pitching well, Buccholz hasn't, and while if I weren't a Red Sox fan my lean would be towards KC, there isn't a chance I'd make this my biggest play of the year or bust out the "L" word.

So as the thread title suggests..

What's with the KC love?

The Royals and the word "lock" should never be in the same sentence. Ever.

I'm all over the Sox today. it seems every poster and tout is riding KC hard; even BigBookie has KC as a play.

The Red Sox at -110 against KC? It makes sense that the public is on the Sox.

It also makes sense that the short bus.. err the touts are on the Royals.

I will bet $165 Royals +1.5 in order to win $100

Meche is better in all ways.

Buchholz just isn't pitching well and the Royals should be a bigger favorite at home. This line should be at least -130 IMO for the Royals. I'm pretty sure the Royals actually have a winning record against the Sox the past three years, but I could be wrong.

In the end it comes down to the World Champs vs. last place Royals. I'm staying away from this game either way.

Lowell is out for the Red Sox and they have a weird lineup tonight so my guess would be the Royals win.

The drop off from Sean Casey to Mike Lowell does not make or break this bet.

Infact, I might prefer Casey (the lefty) in the line-up.

No Ellsbury? As a Royals backer I love that.
