I'm getting in after 10:30, figure to hit GN around noon and starving.

Anyone up for meeting for a good lunch around 12:30 or so? Hopefully a good chance for a lot of people to meet and plan the rest of the day.

Any ideas on where to eat lunch downtown?

Try the Triple George Grill. It's on Odgen right next to Downtown and probably less than a 1/4 mile from the Golden Nugget. Ate there with a friend a month or so ago and we both agreed it was delicious.

It's also not in a casino which can be a good thing at times.

Thought I'd bump this...

Nobody planning Friday lunch? I'm open to pretty much any place. I touch down in Vegas around 10:30am and figure to hit the Nugget starving by noon. %^_

Bump for Firefly. A bunch of us are planning on going there.

What time works for everyone?

We will be meeting in the Golden Nugget sportsbook for all meal events.

I would guess that anything noon or later works for me. Scheduled to arrive by 10:30. Maybe try to meet around noon and go around 12:30-1:00?

I think MaxSquat and I would be up for Friday lunch as well. Since we're arriving Thurs night, I'd be missing the Thursday dinner get-together that I had fun last year with fellow Rxers.

We're going to that Thai restaurant on Friday night. Seats are filling up. Do you want me to put you down for reservations?

Noon at the sportsbook for those interested in lunch today. Casual dress is fine.

Since TTinCo is not here this year I have been told it up to me to bring honor to the drunks. I will commence after lunch.

I think we would be tentative as we may be hopping poker tournaments in downtown today since Saturday is busy. I'll see if I can respond back to this thread by tonight, but what's the details (where meet/when)?

I'll bump that thread later this afternoon but we'll be meeting for all meal events at the Golden Nugget sportsbook. Friday night we will be meeting at 6:30pm for dinner at 7pm.

It was delicious billsy.

We especially like the artichoke toasts (Dante ordered an extra order). We also had filet mignon sliders, smoked salmon platter, stuffed dates (really sweet), stuffed peppers, chicken skewers, ahi tuna skewer, camarones a la diabla (spicy shrimp) and a big bowl of salad. I'm sure I left a couple out.

For dessert we had chocolate "tres leches" cake and passion fruit cheesecake.

Doberman sure knows how to pick out the restaurants. I always trust him since he's a local.

Sadly enough to report no one provided mad dog for George Jefferson. He seemed to have been able to get over it by the end of the meal though.

Sounds like you guys had fun, but looking at your Meau choices..I would have puked...only because I am a picky eater.
