Girardi was such mistake to hire. This billion dollar line up looks completely lost at the plate. Kevin Long knows dick about being a hitting coach. Double play, after double play. Dominated by a minor league call up that has over 6 era.

I hate Girardi, what's worse is the Yankees not pulling the trigger on the Santana deal.
Kennedy will never be anything more than a back end of the rotation starter, Melke will never be anything more than a mediocre outfielder, Hughes has terrible work ethics and will always be on the d/l, Joba is not conditioned to go 7 innings..............

What a game Jeter! Worst pitching team and the yankees cannot pull it together. Petite gets roped again. This team is very inconsistent.

I actually think Girardi is one of the best mangers in the game. He was probably the biggest reason the Yanks had that comeback win against the Angels on the weekend because of his decision to PR for Pudge that led to a couple huge runs.

This team just isn't as good as people think. I might dislike the Yankees, but I'll gladly give them credit if they earn it. I'll be the first to say A-Rod is one of the best hitters I've ever seen, probably #2 after Bonds. Overall though this team just isn't as good as TB, Boston or LAA. If they traded for Santana and had Wang healthy they would probably be a playoff team this year, but they'd be throwing away the future again and that would piss fans off, espeically if they didn't win it all.

time to put a cap on the 2008 Yankee season.

Petitte reverting to poor form, Joba out, Moose pitching on borrowed time, Ponson can't be trusted, and Rasner offers very little.

And if you think the pitching is bad, the hitting is too inconsistent to put up the 10 runs per game needed to give the staff a shot. It's too much to ask.
