for the season. They have been a good team to fade all year and losing last night the way they did might be it for them. They are about to lose their 6th in a row and realize now they are done. Lots of older guys that have been around so I don't see much fight left in this team. It's hard for a team like that to accept their fate. Teams like KC or even a team like San Diego that has called up a bunch of young players that want to win are teams to bet when out of the race.

I really think the problem is this team just never had the talent most people thought they did. There were people all over the place that said this team would set records with their lineup and I just never saw it. Cabrera is a stud, but Miggy had a good year that made him overrated and the rest are all past their primes minus Granderson. Then you throw in the fact that they have one of the worst pitching staffs in the league and their ace who was suppose to be a Cy Young contender and be the lone bright spot for them pitching wise has an ERA around 4.5.

Just not a top team. .500 is where they will stay IMO.

my point is they have players like Sheffield, Renteria, Ordonez, etc. that have been around. Whether they were that good or not they thought they were good or believed the hype and they have to be disappointed to be sitting a game or two away from the Kansas City Royals in the standings. I don't see a team with that many veterans busting it late in the season just to win some games. Obviously they will win some games but I would think they are good fade material, especially with the big lines that they still get at home.

It depends on how the books are thinking. I don't think Detroit is getting the lines they were the first two months of the season, but I'm sure they will still be overpriced most games, espeically against a team like the Royals (who are actually winning the season series by quite a few). I can see this team being favored @ KC with a mediocre pitcher like Robertson on the mound and those are the times you should be fading them.
