I remember I always thought it was dumb people gambled, one night my junior year in HS. I was invited over to my friends house and told to bring 5 dollars for a game of poker. I never played poker but I was excited to, I lost my ass and continued to at the game all summer.

My grandparents always loved the casinos and would bring me along to Foxwoods, etc, and eventually moved to Vegas.. that started me early, and I would play poker and shit in high school. Now I don't even bother with that, just straight sports betting

I was in High School and worked at a steel foundry in the summer for cash. An older co-worker invited me to go to the track because he wanted company. That was it, I was hooked.

Thirty years later and losses over $1 million...was an expensive date.
