7pm Pittsburgh @ Philadelphia

I cant understand this line at all. Maholm has been without question the 'Bucs ace this season and going against the likes of Joe Blanton, i just dont see how he is such a big underdog. Maholm doesnt overpower you by any means but what he does do is keep you off balance with a nice change and his best pitch, a filthy slider that he will throw at any point in the AB. He also uses a two seamer that he throws to produce alot of ground balls, and look for him to keep balls on the ground tonight as he is producing ground balls at an almost 2-1 clip and the ball cant hurt you as when its on the ground. I think the battling Bucs will hang tough against their cross town rivals and after knocking Blanton around should be able to take advantage of a good but tired Phille bullpen. Lets back another big dog and cash this one tonight just like we did yesterday with Bergman + 180.

Pittsburgh Pirates (P. Maholm) +167

LAA Angels (Jer. Weaver) -130

Thanks boys, although my write ups are small for bases, i still put alot of work into my selections win lose or draw, no excuses. For football they are much much more in depth. The sport im most comfortable capping is NCAA football, only a few weeks away now. Once again, thanks for the kind words, its always good to see people are beating thier man. :103631605
