People love offense. The Rangers offense has made them a big public play lately. The Hamilton/HR Derby thing only made it worse. The only problem is that people obviously fail to realize that the reason Texas is nothing more than a .500 team is because they have by far the worst ERA in the Majors. Everyone seems to think "oh Texas has much better bats than Baltimore so they will win" but it's not like Batimore's offense is bad and their pitching is definitely better.
