Gentlemen: After 2 rounds of Men`s soccer, any observations? I got one...

Brazil looks unbeatable...their roster is loaded with much more talent then the field...If I had to feed my family from the tourney outcome, I think I would have to take them...But something I saw last night raised my eyebrows..I watched a Nigerian team that looked like it had a bunch of baby Peles...was as athletic a team I have seen in the tourney..and has an overall team speed that is unmatched...huge darkhorse here...beware!!!

Nigeria!!!

nigeria looked great against japan. they played perfect counter-attacking football. this type of style can give brazil trouble.

also ivory coast is another team. imo if a team is goin to prevent brazil-arg final its one of these teams.

Nigeria do have a previous history of winning in the Olympics as they are the 1996 Gold Medalist beating Brazil in the Semi's and Argentina in the finals. Plus the weather conditions won't bug them a bit.

While this won't make me sound like a genius I do and still do like Brazil to win gold. The Olympic gold medal is the only major soccer achievement Brazil has ever won and it shows with the likes of Ronaldinho, Kaka, and Robinho all wanting to play for Brazil. The first two for example skipped out on playing for Brazil during the 2007 Copa America. So it's a major thing for Brazil back home that they win this.

More importantly to their coach Dunga it's his head if Brazil go down in flames. After a rough start to World Cup qualifying whispers are growing louder calling for his head. Winning this Olympics will at least quiet that talk down for another month til World Cup qualifiers start up again.

Adding however that I don't like Argentina to win gold. Think the whole Messi-Argentina-Barcelona tug of war had a negative effect on this team leading up to the games. Their first two games they looked sluggish.

Argentina Brazil Nigeria and Ivory Coast

They are playing their ass off.

Very real chance that Nigeria doesn't even qualify. They have to win to assure advancement, draw puts their fate in Dutch hands. Nigeria draws and Dutch win by 2, Nigeria is out, or, Nigeria draws, Dutch win by 1 and score 1 more goal than Nigeria, Nigeria is out. Not sure who advances if they are on the same GD and same goals scored.

Nigeria was actually favored to move on if I remember correctly, but I could be wrong. They have a pretty good team, was on them against the Dutch. Ivory Coast could easily win a medal, same thing with Belgium.

Nigeria will beat the US if the US plays for a draw, just like they did in the last few minutes of Netherlands when they were up a goal. Don't forget US will have two players suspended (Adu, and I think Bradley correct me if I'm wrong on the second one) which will not help.

I hope the US advances but if I were betting would take Nigeria. I'll probably just sit it out.

No one is mentioning Cameroon either, they are the real dark horse here.

I will be happy in any body wins besides Brazil and Argentina..But in the end I will be close to winning...Ronaldinho will score..look at me in the camera with those orthodontist starved teeth..and smile..

I have not forgot the other two African nation`s teams..I am telling you Nigeria impressed me..

After sleeping 5 hours in 2 days..I fell asleep in the USA game at the 88th minute..They freakin blew in letting der Netherlanders tie them..freakin blew it!
