Both games are all juiced up and you feel like a pigeon if you lay the wood an get beat huh.

Pedro doesn't look like a minus 200 proposition but hell Mets could/should win by mistake.

Bush is starting to come around and shit I had Nats yesterday who had a 4-1 lead in 8th and well we know the end result.

I lose on Nats a lot as their starters pitch their asses off only to lose their heart.

They look good on paper before first pitch..

But todays pitcher shows no heart.

I kinda like that TTL...With Pedro not going deep into games I think Pitt can get at least 2 or the 3 off the Mets awesome Pen...Lets just hope they can get 2-3 off Pedro

Well I'm thinking Pedro makes strides today as Mets need him desperately to go deep into the game.

Pedro Martinez has been effective in two starts since returning to the Mets from the bereavement list, allowing five earned runs (on five home runs) with eight strikeouts in 11 1/3 innings. He's also done it without his slider, choosing instead to throw almost twice as many curveballs and a few more changeups.

It's a smart adjustment by Pedro, because his slider has been by far his least effective breaking pitch. Meanwhile, his curveball has been nearly impossible to hit, with just three singles all season on 37.

If he decides to stick with it, Pedro's streamlined repertoire should continue to serve him well today against the Pirates. Pittsburgh has hit .237 against sliders from right-handers, above the .221 league average (through Saturday).

Martinez was allowed to bat in a tie game, with a runner on first and two outs in the sixth, as Jerry Manuel wanted to stretch him out. That move backfired when the leadoff man in the top of the seventh doubled and was bunted to third, eventually scoring when David Wright booted a groundball with two out

Duke has allowed more hits than IPs. I personally am leaning on the Pirates Team Total under 4 and using that as a win or tie. I don't see Pit scoring 5 runs.

Also, have to roll with the Brew Crew again. Nats have managed 4 runs in this series and, 3 runs coming in consecutive ABs.

I have both games on the -1 RL (Mets & Brews)...

If the Nats were to avoid a sweep it shoulda been yesterday.

Duke is horrid on the road and Mets beat down lefty's with a 22-11 record vs south pawz...
