A friend of mine e-mailed this to me and a bunch of others, and it’s worked for everyone who has tried it so far (including me).

Basically, if you call up DirecTV and tell them you got an e-mail that offers the SuperFan feature for Sunday Ticket for free, they'll give it to you. They won't even ask for your e-mail address. I guess they e-mailed it out to a bunch of their customers, but anyone who calls in and asks for it will get it for free. All you need to do is and be sure you get all the games in HD for free. There are also a few other neat features like watching games online, interactive stuff, etc.

Is Sunday Ticket worth it?

Its about $250 isn't it? I keep saying I will get it, then I just can't justify spending the money on it.

Depends how you like to watch the games. For me, I loved it, but I don't think it was worth the money unless you have a kickass TV setup and have friends over. I can go to a bar or watch any NFL game online if I feel like it. I only have a small HD right now since I gave up my huge one so I'm not gonna bother.

totally worth it to me. I live in CA but can watch my Pats team while sitting in my boxers scratching my ballz. And dont have to deal with going to a crappy bar at 10am with the other Mass-holes that root for the Pats. not to mention all the other idiots rooting for their own teams.

A great feature is the rebroadcast of the games in 30 minutes. They cut out all of the dead time.

I had to call DirecTv this weekend to update my CC info. They said that they also wanted to reward me for being a loyal customer and hooked me up with Free Super Fan (ive had reg Sunday Tix for about 5 years under this account) and also gave me $5 off a month for 3 months.

NOw that is great customer service and strategy. Im the perfect candidate to renew the Super Fan next year so they are giving me a free year to get hooked.

rumor has it that Superfan is going to be eliminated next year, and it will just be the one Sunday Ticket package, that's why they're giving it away for free so much this year. I mean, honestly, when was the last time you watched a game in standard definition, like 3 years ago?

Verizon FIOS is turning up the heat on HD channels, since they offer over 100 HD channels on their standard package now.

I am debating on whether I should call or not. I was billed for the first payment of the NFL Sunday Ticket on my last bill but on this months bill I wasn't billed at all. I am kinda hoping they forget to bill me for the rest of the season.

its great if you have several receivers and several tv's . i had 6 feeds in my house a few years back. like having my own sports bar.

out of the blue this week, DirecTv gave us Showtime for free for 12 months also on top of the free Super Fan
Have to say they have really been impressive this summer.
