And let me first state that I know it doesn't take a genius to pick 3 games laying chalk, but I really like them all! The Mets are the pick in this one. Santana has now allowed two runs or less in four straight starts, but has had two potential wins ruined by the bullpen over that stretch, too. The Mets have been showing they want him to throw more and more innings this year since Sabathia started doing it for Milw. I fully expect you to see 7 or more innings from Johan tonight. The only way the Mets lose this one is if they dont come ready to play. They are by far the superior team and SHOULD win!

<table border="0" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="1" width="100%"> <tbody> <tr class="bg2" id="head" align="right" height="17" valign="center"> <td class="bg1" align="left" width="40%">9:05 pm</td> <td class="bg1" align="center" width="20%">Standings</td> <td class="bg1" align="center" width="20%">W-L</td> <td class="bg1" align="center" width="20%">Strk</td></tr> <tr class="bg2" align="right" height="17" valign="center"> <td class="name" align="left">Tampa Bay -140</td> <td class="scorerow" align="center">1st AL EAST</td> <td class="scorerow" align="center">(71-46)</td> <td class="scorerow" align="center">W 3</td></tr> <tr class="bg2" align="right" height="17" valign="center"> <td class="name" align="left">Oakland </td> <td class="scorerow" align="center">3rd AL WEST</td> <td class="scorerow" align="center">(54-63)</td> <td class="scorerow" align="center">L 2</td></tr></tbody></table>
<table id="alerts1462718" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="1" width="100%"> <tbody> <tr class="bg2"> <td> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"> <tbody> <tr> <td id="plays1462718" style="padding: 3px;" valign="top"> TB: Kazmir (8-5, 3.20)
OAK: Gonzalez (0-1, 6.00)

</td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></tbody></table>
The Rays are the way to go in this one. Kazmir has failed to make it through five innings in his last two starts and hasn't gone into the sixth inning since July 21. He will turn that around tonight with 6 solid innings. The only things that scares me in this one is the line is not high enough. Kaz is 2-0 this season against the A's while pitching 14 inningfs and only giving up 1 run in those two contests. The Rays won both of those games 4-0 and 3-2.

<table border="0" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="1" width="100%"> <tbody> <tr class="bg2" id="head" align="right" height="17" valign="center"> <td class="bg1" align="left" width="40%">9:05 pm</td> <td class="bg1" align="center" width="20%">Standings</td> <td class="bg1" align="center" width="20%">W-L</td> <td class="bg1" align="center" width="20%">Strk</td></tr> <tr class="bg2" align="right" height="17" valign="center"> <td class="name" align="left">Seattle </td> <td class="scorerow" align="center">4th AL WEST</td> <td class="scorerow" align="center">(45-73)</td> <td class="scorerow" align="center">L 3</td></tr> <tr class="bg2" align="right" height="17" valign="center"> <td class="name" align="left">L.A. Angels -190</td> <td class="scorerow" align="center">1st AL WEST</td> <td class="scorerow" align="center">(74-43)</td> <td class="scorerow" align="center">W 4</td></tr></tbody></table>
<table id="alerts1462708" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="1" width="100%"> <tbody> <tr class="bg2"> <td> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"> <tbody> <tr> <td id="plays1462708" style="padding: 3px;" valign="top"> SEA: Washburn (5-11, 4.76)
LAA: Garland (10-7, 4.28)

</td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></tbody></table>

The Angels are the pick here. I know it doesnt take a rocket scientist to take the best team in baseball, but a winner is a winner, right? Garland entered with a 7.40 ERA over his last starts. He gets hit hard from time to time, but he generally pitches deep into games, which usually results in a win when you play for the Angels. Theres not much more to say here except the Angels are playing well and Garland hasn't thrown a great game in a while.Keep in mind that all he has to do is give the Angels the innings they need. In the 3 of 4 games he has last pitched in...he hasn't looked good, but they won 3 of them.

As I always say...Im not a capper and never will be, but I can get hot from time to time. Im coming off a pretty bad day yesterday, but Im looking to turn it around tonight.

As Jerry Maguire said, "Who's coming with me!?!":howdy:

It is a lot of juice, but sometimes you have to lay chalk to build a house :)
